Religion has been a subject of satirical comment by intelligent comic writers for centuries from Swift to Voltaire. Ever read Gulliver's Travels? It's actually quite vulgar and obscene.

You won't be able to cite any mainstream films (as opposed to back-alley cult movies) before mid to late sixties that included obscentity or even vulgarity in significant way
The Hollywood Production code was instituted in 1934. Before that...the sound films from the early 1930s were quite racy. They couldn't be shown uncut again till the late 60s.
