I feel like Zsa Zsa Gabor's sixth husband. I know what I'm supposed to do, but I don't know how to make it interesting.

"You're talking some kind of pseudo, new-age "Christianity", where the condoning of sins for the sake of "tolerance" is taught. But when the Bible itslef condemns something, is it I who am judging?"
Yes. That's why Jesus said, referring to Mary Magdeline, a prostitute, "judge not lest you be judged" and let him who has not sinned cast the first stone.
judgment of sin is left to God. now it's different if you are trying to help your neighbor avoid sin but i don't get any feelings of being helpful from the anti-Southpark folks...just judgment.

You in WAY over your head trying to control people's lives. And your grammar indicates a lack of educational interest. Better crack some books rather than watching some crackhead, inane and totally vicious excuse for entertainment.
How intelligent could a theory be that expresses belief in someone trying to control lives by stating an opinion?

No one is promoting this show as being for kids.Since this "program" is supposed to be about kids, then it follows that kids are going to gain access and watch it.
When they begin expressing themselves as this (poor excuse for a) cartoon does, parents have only themselves to blame for the result.

#859 was a valuable posting.
America's so-called culture has descended so far into the gutter that what's left of polite society is left practically speechless.
Those who are pleased at where American culture can be found today need an epiphany.

No - it doesn't follow that (little) kids will gain access to it unless parents let them.
And teenagers? There's worse things they could find.
You skipped right over my other post I see. The one that pointed out that, even if you aren't on Matt and Trey's side, they're probably often on yours.

.... Matt and Trey actually argue many of the same points...Of course I don't know who Matt and Trey are.
I get the gist of your meaning, however.
To obtain one's satirical entertainment on the sad state of the degradation of morals in this country from a tasteless and crude program that borders on sophomoric defecation seems totally wrong to me.
The original purpose of posting this brief article about a kiddie cartoon show for adults was that the premise was not only going one too far, but that it was to the extent of sacrilege.
It's rather like taking your children to a movie that you have assumed is suitable for kids, then finding lines and situations that are so embarrassing that you have to pull up stakes and leave. Unfortunately, that is where we find what passes for entertainment or culture today...at a dead end.

I know it seems wrong to you. And that's OK. It's not for everyone. It's already wildly popular with the audience it the audience is growing :~D.
But just consider conversations you've been in with posters who don't have a clue, and have never read, the thing they're arguing about. Think how stupid they sound when they try to tell you they know more about it than you.
That's how you sound. :~D

That's how you sound. I know that my views seem archaic to worldly sorts, but we will see what it all means in the grand scheme of things sooner than we think.
Life is so short and eternity so long.
Speaking of so long, I'll say so long and get back to my review of the lousy stock market!

You sound ignorant for trying to tell ME what South Park is.

Agree pretty much with your take on judgement, etc. But the "judge not" passage is from the sermon on the mount, and the stone-casting one is a response to Pharisees who brought an adultress to Him as a trap. Neither passage is related to Mary Magdalene.
I don't think the case can be made from scripture that MM was a prostitute - this seems to be the result of an assumption that the sinner-woman of Luke 7 is MM, apparently since MM is discussed at the beginning of Luke 8. My read is it ain't the same girl.
But (obviously) don't take my word for it, check it out yourself.
... not that this has anything to do with South Park, which fwiw to me is mostly real funny.
Peace,

Where on earth did that picture come from?
I hesitate to even say this but the "heart" looks like it was designed to be reminiscent of a woman's genitalia surrounded by thorns.

"South Park is what The Simpson's would be if they fired all the writers and replaced them with 15-year-old boys."
In the Simpson's case, that might just be an improvement over the last few seasons. If they even have writers anymore. I was assuming they just let the animators draw up whatever they wanted and then let the voice actors fill in the blanks with whatever pops in their head.

When one has no valid response, one should always bring out the blazing grammar barrels. Eureka! A typo! I've got her now! Saved from having to give an intelligent response! Whew. And SHE doesn't believe in miracles.
