Intelligent Design is based in Science and Math. The Greatest Scientists in the world adhere to ID because they truly understand the complexity.
explain Phi- if it's all randomn.

Let the flaming begin.
I usually avoid these threads but every so often I toss my opinion out there.
I believe in some form of evolution but also believe it is Gods doing.
Oh, geesh.
You guys haven't worked all this out by now?
yeah, sure.
"It is as local community leaders that those students will become invaluable allies when more conservative religious groups try to halt the teaching of scientific theories in schools."
Give me a specific instance where "conservative religious groups" are trying to HALT the teaching of scientific THEORIES in schools. I'll be waiting.
Thanks for the ping!
Explain your inability to capitalize and spell simple words.
I ask who designed the designer of the designer of the designer of the designer?
Because if there IS a designer there IS a designer of the designer.
FACT!
Sheer Bologna!
The Greatest Scientists in the world adhere to ID because they truly understand the complexity.
Name three of The Greatest Scientist in the World. Now name one of them who believes in Intelligent Design and *NOT* in Christian-fundamentalist Creationism.
explain Phi- if it's all randomn.
Meaningless. Now explain rho. Explain zeta. Continue at your leisure.
In a nut-shell, the arguments against that say why would good set up something without a purpose.
by hey, these ideas affect how we live day to day so I hope we figure something out. : D
No, although a lot of us just finished talking ourselves to a stand-still over on the thread that got moved to the "Smoky Back Room." No hurt feelings though, and I'm really hopeful that we heard each other, and will continue to study and think about these things.
Makes you wonder if there is anyone at all at Nature who is the least bit informed about religion, religious movements or education in America.
3 of the greatest Scientist well, that's an opinion question.
I think the question should be "Find me a great Scientist who DOES NOT believe in GOD."
I agree that as teachers we shouldn't go out of our way to attack or even criticize ID - after all, we don't go after phlogiston or alchemy either - but I think the best way to confront ID is to do a better job of teaching evolutionary biology.
"I believe in some form of evolution but also believe it is Gods doing."
Me too.
I've even shown a number of hard-core anti-evolutionists how Genesis can be harmonized with evolution and all I get is hateful responses.
Of course, the anti-religious Darwinist zelots aren't any better.
I feel a bit like Luxenberg, trapped between France and Germany.
So life as we see it occurred by purely naturalistic causes, but you also believe it was by supernatural cause?
"explain Phi- if it's all randomn. "
You don't believe all that "Phi" nonsense in DaVinci Code, do you? Most of that "Phi" data he cited was erroneous.
