Richard Pease one of the guardians was on Heartland and didn't trash talk Michael. I am shocked and not in a Casablaca kind of way.
That's an understatement!
One of them also said hospices were only for the unwanted and unloved. You can imagine how I felt about that.
I typed about 6 different replies, shaking because I was so angry. Then I realized the last thing I wanted was a back-and-forth with the type of person who thinks that way - so I didn't reply at all.
Oh, we just realized Arizona is playing basketball.
We have that on now.
My favorite niece had a boyfriend who she thought looked like Ben Affleck. I thought he looked more like the duck.
This thread is mild, compared to the rest of the threads...on this thread, we can all voice our opinion, without fear of getting called some rotten name, or being threatened...
I probably disagree with most of the posters here...I think that Terris tube should have been left in, and tho once pulled, I thought it should have been reinserted...I am allowed to voice that opinion, without fear of getting flamed...
I cannot stand most of the other threads, because I refuse to join in with the name calling, mud slinging, lying, presenting innuendo as fact, I refuse to call for armed insurrection, and think its terrible that people rah rah cheer those parents, who allow their children to be arrested, allow their children to trespass...I dont think its safe, and when I say that, I am condemned, by the rah-rah moms, who think putting your child in danger is a good thing...
These children can join the protest, and like most of the other protesters, not get arrested...When I wonder about these children, I am flamed...great...
So, that is why this thread is mild...we may get a bit upset, we may say some things that we regret, but we sure as heck do not turn the whole thread into a name calling, flaming, lying, swearing, mudfest, calling for armed insurrection...

There are 70 other patients at the hospice.
They are not free to move around the grounds now. People are screaming all day and night with bullhorns. Family members are being frisked. Most of these people are very terminal, and it's very hard for the families to see them. But, we are celebrating life with the bullhorns frightening alzheimer's patients.
I've done that a lot lately.
We're not pro-death, we're anti-hysteria.
((((Thanks.))))
OUCH!
The ignorant person who said that about hospice is just that: ignorant.
Pay him, her, or it no mind.
You were right to ignore the critterr.
I would think it's because of Jim's stance on this.

He hasn't made it to #60 yet...
I agree too she should have been left alone, and custody should have been granted to the parents, but I want nothing to do with that lunitic fringe and rarely post to them. They have lost all sense of reason.
I also saw that remark about there should not be any hospices...and I can understand why you are shaking, typing out a post to rebutt that, then not post it at all...I have done such a thing, many times...I get so mad, type out my post, and then delete it...but I am getting bolder, encouraged by the courage of the folks on this thread...
Hospice is wonderful place for people, if they need to be there...they receive loving care, they receive pain meds, they receive an acceptance that they are at the end of their lives, and need understanding of how they feel, and need someone to listen to them...
I have never worked in a hospice, tho I know several hospice nurses...wonderful, wonderful people, who I know are angels to their patients...and to see them denigrated in such a way is sickening....
I have tho, worked for many years in nursing homes, and we have to deal with the sick and the dying every single day...we give excellent care to our residents, and love them, some of them, as much as we might love our own parents...and when they die, we cry, we feel hurt, but we know we have done our best to make their last days as easy for them as we could...
I like that...it bears repeating...we are not pro-death, we are anti-hysteria...thats great...
So this is where all the sane people have been hiding, too bad I didn't find it earlier (MKM1960 thanks for the tip). I mostly lurk but if there's still some "rational freepers" ping list around, I would appreciate being added to it.
