Good Morning, Madame Chicky. Still brooding?

How come being only a few hundred miles from a hurricane brings such nice weather?

70's and horrible humidity today. And our air conditioner isn't working! We're going to the library, where it should be cooler, and hoping to have the AC repairman shortly after noon.

Good luck with the cool quest. You might consider setting up a refuge room, with its own air conditioner, for situations like this.

If it happens to be someone's bedroom, they will be most appreciative -- until everyone else crowds in!

We had a window unit in one room in OK, but haven't needed to here. We're talking about putting in a dual-zone system next year, if it looks like we'll be staying long enough to appreciate it. Our history suggests we'll be moving (somewhere ...) around February 2007, because we always move when the second baby is about a year old!

Ewwwww! I have a live trap. I would catch the cute little mice and then turn them loose in the part of the woods far away from my apartment.

100 degrees and 40% humidity forcast for today. Tomorrow too.

Zon was 6 months pregnant when our AC went out. Took two weeks in blistering Texas summer weather to get it replaced. After the first night with no AC, I went to Wal-Mart and bought an in window AC unit. Had to re-engineer part of the window to get it to fit and seal up good enough.

Was not fun...

Every home needs a "comfort room" for both Winter and Summer.

For most, it happens to be the family room, where you ride out the emergency.

It makes sense to plan for it in the home's construction, or look for it when you're buying.

Yesterday went well. The rain didn't bother me at all, although I did discover that my helmet and left boot aren't watertight. :-)

"...on the other hand..."

"I'm with you guys!" ... "I agree." ... "Me too." ... "Good. We're all in agreement!"

... "I'm opposed."

Hi sionnsar. I had some trouble getting here today.

Hi, tuliptree. I did too -- seems FR was down for a few hours. The alternate address too. Don't know why, but I'm just happy to see it up again this morning, though I have to go away and do some work.

Our plan is to move out, if necessary. In an emergency, my cousin in Pinehurst would have to let us stay in the Palace His Ex-wife Built ... he owes my parents too many favors to say no.

Good, overall. We didn't get much rain at all. *\:-(

This particular part of FR IS indeed the Twilight Zone.

HOWEVER:

IF servers went down, maybe clockes need to be reset.

And then there is this:

Are you logged in?

:-)

I didn't know that there was an alternate address. I just found out about the yahoo site and the fact that a lot of people moved to Free Dominion. It probably was a good thing that I didn't know - I got more studying done. LOL!
