I think it's: "the precipitation is changing from ice to snow"... no, that doesn't work either. Often. (sleet to snow? just so we don't get freezing fog -- i *hate* that stuff!)

We foster pound dogs and just lost one to cancer after a mighty fight. She was brought into the pound, 14 years old, claws grown into her feet, mammory tumors weighing her down, vet estimates she was bred 12 times at least, fleas/ticks all over her. We just didn't have the heart to let them put her to sleep without her at least having SOMETHING of a life. So, we had some of the more pronounced tumors removed, fixed her feet, cleaned her up, put her out back on an acre with my poms/pekes/chihuahua (she was dachie/basset hound), and gave her anything she wanted. This includes the "last ditch diet" I designed myself. It includes fudge, ice cream, steak, you name it if I eat it so did she. She lived three months in bliss.
Every night at sundown she would howl at the sunset. Eeriest thing.
Currently we are fostering a cattle dog who's coming along nicely. Vicious at first, now he chases his tail every time we come home. He's not on the "last ditch diet"....
I'm so sorry for your loss.... God's blessings....

It's very difficult to craft a phrase which cannot be deliberately misunderstood, either by stubborn teen-agers or smart-alecky would-be poets.
But I could just picture myself staring at an ice-cube, waiting for it to blossom.

LOL! I think the correct phrase is "We had rain freeze into ice earlier, but we are supposed to have a snow storm tonight." Or something to that effect. I think my neurons are firing at a slower rate today...

The reason is fairly obvious...you are a pod person.

Some people go for ipods, some go for blackberries. I think I would want something distinctive.
Personalized, ya know.
