I know it is an ordeal for you. We are all hoping that you will soon enjoy the weather and the relaxation you hope to find in Tucson.

Thanks!
I think I'm just really tired, now, and it all seems insurmountable. I never used to get like this, but that was before CFIDS.
And thanks to all of you for being so supportive! It means a lot to me.

Well, things have been a bit crazy. I've had a
cold, 'shadow's not around (he's a bit busy) &
we've all been really stressed out about "things".

Be sure to buy Girl Scouts cookies from someone, and if you don't like them, order some for our troops (and seamen and airmen) overseas!

moving always blows... and then, you get to experience the joy of UNpacking all your stuff. If you're lucky, you already know where everything is to go (and you have the space/closets/shelves etc... for everything) and you can get it all done in one fell swoop. More often... hell - some of my stuff has been in boxes, and repeatedly moved, for a decade.

I have a pet desire, concerning Halloween:
Make it the last friday of October.
Period.
Everyone -employees and employers, kids and parents, students and revelers of all ages- will be much, much happier that way.
So... how would one go about convincing the Gubmint to do something so utterly rational?

I have a pet desire, concerning Halloween: Make it the last friday of October. While we're making adjustments, can we just do Christmas every other year? It just comes up too quickly most years. This year almost killed me.

The Constitution says nothing about Congress's establishing the date of Halloween.

Do not propose logic while I am reading about the UN on another thread..My mind has to shift gears too quickly.

we have the precedent of Congress sanctioning and setting the date of Thanksgiving in 1941, after a century of Presidential meddling.
'sides, from the Preamble: "We the people... ordain and establish this Constitution... in order (to accomplish the following tasks, including) insure domestic tranquility"
Regularizing Halloween in a rational manner falls under that header, IMHO ;)
