We would enjoy your presence more, the less of it there was.

Good morning, I think.
I'm sorry I missed sionnsar and the temporary closing of the distillery, and two "new faces" and everything else that happened, but my brain was not working well, so it was best I stayed in bed until I could function.
I suppose there will be a flurry of postings today to make that next milestone...41,000...wow! Tia ~~ got the coffee on? I need a BIG cup today! :-)

From the shadows in the corner, a DARKER shadow moves slightly.
And then a slightly dusty and travel worn voice speaks.
"I'm always here."

I used to do that as an intro piece at the Red Dragon Inn on AOL back around '95....
What got interesting is what everyone did with the pieces after the much corpsified me was tossed into the Inn's swimming pool and the charnal detritus that held me form together unraveled.

I have coffee, and am huffing Vick's Vapo-rub to keep the schnozz and lungs clear for the moment.

May just be something about that camera lighting in that shot, but she looks particularly appealing.I think it's the caption!
We watched Fox News on election night (visiting people with cable!) and it was my first long look at Greta since she got her new face. I'm sorry to say that I think she looks like a "claymation" figure now. Before the surgery, she was pretty homely, but looked normal. Now she's still homely, but she looks weird. It's particularly noticeable that her eyeballs and lips move, but the rest of her face is frozen.

I prefer Lori Dhue.. she's got a weird hypnotic voice.. you don't care what she's sayin', you just want to hear the voice.

It IS Veteran's Day, and in honor of it, I forced myself to watch a documentary on the history of Arlington last night, including what it takes to be an Honor Guard.
I say "forced" because from the opening two minutes, I was in tears. It is solemn and amazing, compassionate and awesome.
And when I woke up this morning, I had to silently thank all the veterans in all the wars that have kept us free since this country became a country, and all of the service members and their families today.
So thank you all. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!
[ok...going back to "normal" here]

I know she was in some kind of accident, but I still have no idea what happened. Part of her face just plain old doesn't work anymore, that much is clear.

Last time someone tried to toss my form into a swimming pool, I made sure I disappeared in a puff of smoke and mist...
...got caught sneakin' out the back door though.
Embarrassing to be scuttling around on the floor and run straight face first into shaved shins and look down at painted red toenails on a tappin' foot.

I would not be able to be an Honor Guard.
I would never be able to meet the position requirements.
Those guys have my permanent respect.

One would imagine so....
Could have been worse. Spiked heals, thigh high leathers, and a coiled whip....
