No excuses. Their starting pitching is suspect and they always leave men on base.
I like Bobby V for some things, but can't stand how he handles pitchers. However, I think he finally came into his own with the Mets.
Steve Phillips had no business running the front office. He and Wilpon are responsible for those dumb moves, like trading away an outfield for a single pitcher, signing a first baseman who physically could not play the position.
