***Red Foley aka Wrigley banned.***
Thanks for the explanation.

I wouldn't call you a jack-booted nazi censor for using the hot stove method.
But....3 suspensions = long term banning and sticking to it would probably work. 3 strikes and you're out. It would be hard to complain about not being warned.
My sense is that the religion mod has improved the climate considerably around here since he started. Like with Bond, though, give him his double O, license to kill.

Why do you want to see fellow Christians silenced?

did you read #1062?
NO profanity, NO personal attacks, NO racism or violence in posts
Those are already the rules. If someone persists in violating them, what's wrong with 3 strikes and you're out? Seems fair to me.

Do you ever get out of the religion forum? I think it's quite fair to point out that much worse goes on on other threads and nothing is ever done about it. If you remember the other night, I told you that the peophets don't slay the prophets. So much of what goes on is very childish. You people need to lighten up and realiize that you have more in common than you do differences. After all the Calvinists are gone, who will you discuss issues with? It won't be very interesting for you.

Jim,
Upon inquiry, I have it on what I know to be a good authority that user Red Foley is wrigley's biological brother. The post was typed on Dave's (wrigley's) computer by his brother using a user name registered to Dave's brother.
Does this violate any FR rule?

Correction: It was posted on Dave's brother's computer. Sorry for the error.

pardon my reflux.

I have been suspended twice and didn't violate any of those rules for those suspensions. Yet, I could trot out some of the statements which were made directly against me and there were not any suspensions and only one of the posts was even pulled.
Among my personal favorites is the one where a FReeper stated that I would kill another Freeper on sight.
I have never had confidence in fairness on FR due to these types of examples.
Woody.

It violates the rule of credulity. It may have been the brother's account, but it was Wrigley doing the posting. It's in the log.

Let's just go for it and put it out there. No more pussyfooting around. There's a hit list and names are on it. Those people are going to go, period. They're in a game they can't win. Any excuse will do.

I disagree. Anyone can start being polite, can start honestly disagreeing with ideas instead of belittling/ridiculing them and attacking the people who propose them, can disagree with denominations but not belittle them......anyone can do those things and not be in violation of the rules.
Anyone can do those things, and they'll have no trouble.
