Which ones?

As if you would know them?

I notice a wealth of pro-dope threads springing up this morning. Is this the December offensive?

Pretty ironic how this article cites such reputable conservative and pro-American values sources such as:

Perhaps you'd like to counter with some pro-American values sources that support the government's position. The UN and Sweden come to mind.

I meant which arguments do they use? I work a second job at a restaurant which employs some college students, so I get plenty of practice arguing with them. I like to swap "arguments with liberals" stories.

Some of Soros' activities were greatly restricted by the conservative Campaign Finance Reform laws, so he's shifting his focus to us loserdopian spammers on FR.

"Perhaps you'd like to counter with some pro-American values sources..."

LOL! I'm not sure there are too many conservative American links that specifically address the core values of NOT involving your children in criminal activities or taking them into a situation where they could be killed while you're making a dope deal.

Strange how most people just kind of take that for granted. Which I guess would explain Harry Browne's underwhelming appeal.

Maybe someday you'll stumble upon one that covers how to construct a coherent argument.

It doesn't seem to be in the online edition of the article, which is much shorter than the print version I read when it came out.

Sorry!

If you want to read the entire article you can grab last months Forbes magazine, it's the one with the giant marijuana leaf on the cover.

Regards...

Oh, like citing the 9th Circuit Court or any number of third world nations for the enlighted drug views?

The source you cite for your statistics, The November Coalition (Working to end drug war injustice) is a real hoot.

Thanks for providing the link. I've book marked it next to my "The Onion" link.

Oh, the power of denial....

It appears they got their numbers from the US Dept of Justice. I suppose you consider them a real hoot, too.

Just like I said already...even Onion articles have a kernal of truth and a whole lot of BS added.

At least the Onion admits to being satire.

The December Snow offensive must be working. I've already noticed people jumping off the We Got Saddam threads and flooding the dope threads with their support.

I believe Dane's point was that the article is an opinion by Doug Bandow. While Mr. Bandow may be a senior fellow at the Cato Institute, he is not part of National Review.

That said, yes, the National Review favors marijuana legalization. It's founder, William F. Buckley, Jr., is an ardent supporter of legal marijuana.

"The U.S. Supreme Court recently let stand a lower court ruling barring Uncle Sam from punishing doctors who prescribe medical marijuana."

WRONG! The U.S. Supreme Court recently let stand a lower court ruling barring Uncle Sam from punishing doctors who prescribe recommend medical marijuana.

Marijuana cannot be prescribed.

Have another cup of coffee and try again. Disjointed ad hominems won't cut it.

Well, that's entirely up to the good people of Tennessee to determine themselves.

No, unfortunately, it isn't, and that's the core problem. The feds say pot is illegal, and that's the end of the story. The people of TN get no say in the law.

And I'm not sure your view of your home state isn't skewed. I can't find numbers for marijuana arrests in California, but there were more than 100,000 drug arrests there in 2002 (that number was not broken out by type of drug). And California is the poster child for the feds overstepping their authority and ignoring your own medical marijuana law. I'd think the good people of California should decide for themselves what to do about medical marijuana, don't you?

I guess when you have no facts or numbers on your side, you have to stoop to name calling because that's all you've got. Good. Keep it up. It lets any undecided readers know where the real strength of argument is, and it's obvious you don't have it.

"Way to go, thug! Back-roomed the sucker!"

I would dearly love to take the credit but I'm fairly sure it ended up here on it's own (lack of) merit.

But thanks for the credit anyway.

I wouldn't want anyone reminding me that my arguments are based on the most liberal anti-Amrican court in the nation and the actions of a bunch of loser third world nations.
