Death4Bush (David Blomstrom seeks a visit by Secret Service)

I ran into this guy (David Blomstrom) a decade or so ago when he was peddling a nutty book about the national parks. He also wrote one about teaching called Teacher with an Attitude. Here's what Amazon.com says about the book in their writeup:

David Blomstrom carried visions of the one-room country school his mother attended in South Dakota and his experiences as a wildlife biologist in Alaska with him when he gained employment with the Seattle School District. His illusions about "public education" were rudely shattered long before Seattle Schools was thrust into national prominence by retired general John Stanford, whose roller coaster tenure as superintendent proved Blomstrom's maxim: Only YOU Prevent Education! (Yes, Blomstrom's book mentions Stanford, who did not endorse it.)

Teacher With an Attitude is probably one of the harshest books about public education ever published; Blomstrom himself describes it as "profane." Yet some readers have described it as a humor book, and it's as insightful as it is courageous. The book's truthfulness is perhaps best evidenced by the fact that his employer didn't fire him.

In a sense, Teacher With an Attitude is all over the map, similar to public education, with elements that are just about guaranteed to provoke laughter in some readers and infuriate others. Mr. Blomstrom has a modicum of talent but has the personality of a psychotic viper.I have read someone his other writings and this book is by far the best..and that is not saying much.His writing is more fit for toilet paper than for anything else. The content of his book is filled with his own vitriol concerning the loss of employment and personal rejection

I think Blomstrom must be a farmer--that is the biggest load of compost I have ever heard. And this man needs a serious enema! I knew the schools were in sad shape and now I know why. He WOULD fit right in! I wouldn't let this man instruct a dead dog and I think he needs to go back to whatever backwoods Idaho Neo-Nazi camp he came from and leave us the hell alone!

Blomstrom will have an interesting primary night in Washington...I hope he's allowed to savor every minute of it.

Sounds more like a Democrat candidate for President.

I would not hold me breath waithin for the SS to act.

I reported some threats to Secretary Rumsfield the publisher of a local rag made.

As of this date I have not heard of anything happening.

Now if anyone gave Bill Clinton so much as a dirty look....

A number of members of this forum received visits from the SS for posts they made.

But with President Bush, anything is fair game.

This guy is not the first to threathen him with no repucussions, and probably won' be the last.

We have all the guns NOW. But if sKerry cheats his way into office or if Hitlary cheats HER way into office, we'll be disarmed so fast it won't even be funny. Oh wait. Maybe 'that's' when the civil war begins. When they try to take away our only defense.
