There have been too many questions as to how and why postings have been pulled by the faceless Moderators. Since you oversee them, this needs to be answered by you.
And sunshine is the best disinfectant. Please list who the moderators are. There should be no shame in that. 'Pod
incovenient=inconvenient.

You are certainly pompous this afternoon!
To: 2Trievers
I SURE thought that was what YOU were suggesting. Not bloody likely.

Maybe not shame, but they could never post again under their current screen names.
I mean, can you imagine being on a tax thread and having 30 people complaining about their post being pulled?

I guess I don't get your perspective. You say that there are so many questions as to why things are pulled, yet when why things are pulled are listed, you don't seem to be interested. And when I point out to someone who was saying that there is rampant censorship that the moderator posted something that says differently, you blast me?
What am I missing here?

Than maybe they should be a little more careful in pulling what they do. That was my point.

From what you can tell, do you think that the AMs are fairly applying FR policies to members?
To: sauropod
Seriously Pod, I don't think it is a good idea to do that.
I wouldn't want the people who have put in time and effort to do this job to suffer harrassment on the forum. I think they would be harrassed, goodness knows what sort of whining and moaning they listen to in those abuse reports. They don't need their own posse of harpies following thme around here asking "why why why why."
I think it is important to listen to the community of particpants for feedback on whether the moderators are acting even handedly.

What is missing is independent verification of said facts.

Last thing they need is to go off shift, do some of their own personal posting and have some ragged-off freeper following them around bitching about having his comment or his thread pulled. I have have my issues at times with the moderators, and I have found that JimRob and the moderators listen to my complaints. But the complaints are best handled via freepmail, because the trolls are watching...

I looked at the list and generally agreed with the reasons for this case. There have been others that i have not agreed with. It was not "disinterest." I just had nothing specific to comment on so i didn't.
Have had a case where a good friend FReepmailed and e-mailed me about a thread that magically disappeared. Was concerned about the Moderators having pulled said thread. Turned out to be a "software feature." LOL

Understand your point my friend. I have had some of those very same experiences. Usually with MurryMom ;-).
No worries. Getting low on that nectar of the gods: beer. Off to the beer store. 'Pod

I realize you didn't ask me, but my opinion is they're doing as good a job as humanly possible. The one thing I do every now and then is report incidences of abuse - and they are 99% consistent in what they delete and what they don't. Every now and then a post with a word won't get deleted even though a different post with the same word in the past was - but that can be chalked to human error/bias.. and is understandable to an extent.

Then it would turn into "shun the mod" "flame the mod" and "stalk the mod" all over the forum.
The only time there will ever be a problem with these guy's if if they use their "power" (for lack of a better term) to stifle people..
(IE: botmods pulling keyes threads, libertarianmods pulling anti-drug threads, bashermods pulling pro-bush threads and the like)
