Inherent contempt would normally force the House Sergeant at Arms to detain Garland and bring him before the lower chamber. However, Luna introduced a resolution last week that would fine Garland $10,000 a day until he complies with their subpoena instead of arresting him. Huh??

I know that I and a thousand others have already said it, but I still marvel at how close this corrupt, lawless bastard was to the Supreme Court.

Committee. Fine. Does the whole house have a say? Won’t work-squishes.

What is this “inherent contempt” all about? This is actual CONTEMPT OF CONGRESS ...

And if he refuses to pay, a strongly worded letter?

No one has the stones to arrest him. In a related story, I discovered one of the barn cats is a Republican. A loud noise during some high winds last night scared him off for a while...like Republican congressmen...no balls. (No, he's not neutered.)

To a democRat being held in contempt just enhances his/her ‘street cred’. Being held in contempt has all the effect as a ‘strongly worded letter’ and will be ignored. The Rs that actually have a spine are too few in number to affect an arrest and a perp walk.

Exactly!
The man is bitter, blames conservatives and has been out to get them ever since.
Thank you Mitch.

Holder didnāt care when he was held in contempt. He knew it was a toothless charge. I would be genuinely shocked to see any major Democrat actually punished for his actions.

The caved on arresting and jailing Garland. Fines will have no effect.

Actually the $10,000 fine per day out of Garlandās own pocket I will be more effective than jailing him. Also, the optics of jailing him would create more sympathies just as it has for some of our people.

The GOP’s problem is the republicans who are actually democrats and the squishes who believe they can be reasonable with unreasonable people. The left/deep state will do anything they think will work to win, while at the same time screaming bloody murder (added of course by their propaganda agencies) if the Republicans do anything other than roll over and take it. The left practices “gutter politics” while the republicans just carry on in a business as usual mode. Pretty pathetic.
