As long as he comes home BETTER!!

Don’t forget to ply him with ice cream! (Or do you still make it?)

Brother of your other mother? That would make me your Uncle with the Unsightly Carbuncle, wouldn't it? ;)

You know me, Girl...I manage to hang in there, regardless of how I really feel. I keep thinking it’s probably a good thing none of the UTers can see me. They might get the idea I’m ILL!! :o])

In the CFIDS newsletter today, there was a researcher who suspected a brain virus was responsible, but in order to find out, spinal taps are necessary.

There is enough arthritis in my spine to prevent even the idea of that. I’ll just have to wait for further information to be available. :o[

Ohman. I found out yesterday that our friendly little Wal-Mart is being turned into a Superstore. The good thing is that they only have a limited area (parking lot) to expand into for the food. The bad news is that it will probably lose it’s homey air. I KNOW the checkers and greeters in there! *sigh*

Would that be the lighted festive sombrero with the little dangly things?

Er...that’s too much for me to contemplate today...LOL!

My poor little brain is still trying to recover from yestiddy’s outing.

Even with the superstore, we manage to know most of the staff. I’m sure you’ll still find your friends.

I sure hope so. It’s such a FRIENDLY store, even though I loathe shopping in China.

Well, yeah. For a visit from your family, they'd open the store just for you.

I'll bet the store staff all call him "Der Prinz" too.

LOL!

I don’t shop nearly as often as TC, but it’s often enough to be considerate of the staff. Most people barely acknowledge them, and others treat them with disdain. I’ve been on the receiving end of retail, and I know how much it means to have someone acknowledge that you are doing your job.

It all counts, for good or bad.

I like the fact that grocery store clerks wear name tags.

It gives me a chance to thank them by name, which I make a habit of doing.

(That I'm taking notes in case somebody screws up, they don't need to know ...)

LOL!

Most of the stores here not only have name tags (which I read and use) but also, the name or employee number of the clerk is on the receipt. I guess they do that to cut down on the “short tills.”

Works fer me!

The little green ones are a kind of plantains. I understand they’re very good fried - several of my Spanish music people are Puerto Rican. The ones we get here are about twice the size of an ordinary banana. When they get black, you can just slice them, spritz them with cooking spray and grill them.

Pat says he has a Universal Bean Pistol. I sense that it’s going to be One of Those Days. Is it 5 o’clock somewhere yet?
