Did you that if you put a plastic timer on TOP of your oven while you bake it will STILL melt?

So that where Hootersville is, I have been to boonyville in Texas about 45 miles north of Forth Worth. Not to far from wheres I was born. Don’t remember much about the area though becuase we were off to Hugo. I saw a sign pointing to Green Acres not to far from Fresno.

Back from my first shift at the poll. About 200 voters so far today - good turnout for a primary in this area.

Now to run!

As much as I can find time for. I’m sending Anoreth and Bill out from 11:30 to 1:00. After that, it will be busy around the school with buses and people picking up their kids. I’ll probably go back around 5:00, when people will be voting after work, and hang around until ... I decide to leave!

I’m going to ask my husband to take off work on Election Day.

Bill and Anoreth just got back from the poll. They went to the gas station for cold cokes first - pretty hot out there in the school parking lot.

They’re talking about having a coffee and doughnut concession at the general election!

Hot? Looks like we had spring on Sunday this year. It’s back to cool now.

Upper 70’s, but that’s hot when you’re standing out in a parking lot at noon.

Catz are fighting over the sunbeam!

"Upper 70s" is simply hot in my book, wherever you are. Of course 'Face would be freezing to death.

Took a look at the forecast for Napa Valley the next couple of days, sunny and 47F to 71F. Not too bad -- I can pack very light.

Odd. At work the time shown on FR is three hours off, but at home it’s fine. I wonder if they’re using registered point of presence on the Internet to figure the timezone? The work connection to the Internet is in Arizona but the registration is East Coast.

Either that or settings on your PC. I’m getting the correct time here(7pm).

No, the PC is on west coast time. Ah! I know how to test this — back in a minute.

Nope, dagnabit. Have to haul out the work laptop to test it. And don’t want to do that right now.

I'm a Pepsi guy -- at least until they go back to the taste Coke had in the 50s, and still does elsewhere in the world. (Including Germany where it's served at room temperature.)

Though neither Coke nor Pepsi come even close to Vernor's Ale, hot or cold. I was stunned when Vernor's showed up at the "neighborhood" (it's 5 miles away) supermarket -- I hadn't had one in almost 40 years. And it still tastes the same. *\:-)

Room temp? Ack, break out the ice. We have Vernor’s here but I always preferred Cotton Club. They had that in Cleveland but stopped making it shortly after I moved from the city.

There’s rarely ice available in my meetings in Germany. You adjust.
