One of my daughters told me that her penguin calendar shows tomorrow as “Labor Day in Mexico.” I said that was sort of right.

LOL!

I don't imagine "Let Your Illegals Stay Home Day" has been officially recognized.

If landscaping and construction crews aren’t working tomorrow, it will be quieter and there will be fewer traffic delays.

...The one who merited a second epilog.

Ah. Yes. Should I bother to breathe some life into him?

For now, I'm aging backwards. Have been since I hit 45... ;oþ

It appears that we're both operating in different systems of time.

Crazy? That's what they told Einstein before he invented the steam engine!

(Incidentally, I get my calendars and books from the same establishment. There's a great one here on phlogiston that I've been meaning to read.)

Way ahead of you on that one! ;)

I don’t mind operating on different time systems as long as we’re on the same page....

That one on phlogiston must be as exciting as the one I saw on gizlichis. Quite a bit there for the mind to digest....

"How to Heal Everything with Shrimp?" Wow! There's a whole world out there that I never knew.

And then there is "How to Learn Taxidermy Using Household Items." Always a fascinating read, but a little stuffy at times.

Just as long as I don't have to let my Abos go loose.

I'm familiar with the author. Didn't he also write "Skinnin' an Grinnin': Easy Taxidermy in Five Minutes?" I don't think anyone has seen either hide or hair of him in the last decade or so.

Now for one very real book that sounds much like a title I just made up (but isn't):

How to Build a Robot Army: Tips on Defending Planet Earth Against Alien Invaders, Ninjas, and Zombies

I think you have him confused with the guy who wrote "Western Folktales and Mythology: Legends of Bone Worship and Cannibalism."

The other guy sounds like a flake. *sheesh* Whoever thought Zombies were REAL, fercryinoutloud?

I drove through the in 1981 and would guess that most of the strip area has been blown up since then?

Darkangel, meet Das Outsider. He’s been on and off the UT for several years, keeping us very happy with his renditions of unpopular political figures.

He even seems to have “tamed” some of our Zombies, though why he would need to ecapes me at the moment...
