Of course, they could have left the bolt loose intentionally, but I don't think it's a good idea to drop a shock at 190. You can't prove intent on equipment failure, but that does not stop some from trying.
RE: the infraction by the #24
You all seem to be missing the point. The problem was that it used to be "the rules are the rules." Intent never played into their interpretation. If you accidentally broke a rule, you still got punished.
Now NASCAR is saying they can read the minds of the #24 team and read intent. And how do they result in doing this? -- by sending mixed signals. "Yeah, he keeps the win, and is not fined, but he must start at the back."
What?!?! Either it is an infraction or it is not?! Either the #24 won fairly, or the #2 is the winner (God forbid)?!
See, it is not about intent. It is about the rules and their fair application.
At least it used to be. :-/
If this one is too big, let me know, I can resize it.
Amazing pic from GoogleEarth...
Jr's #8 and Truex's #11 looked good.
I put some rolling pics over at IP. I wish we could put those here.
It makes me nauseous. LOL
DJ has a parking space on IP

Are you watching TrackSide?
John force is an absolute nut!!!!
I've never heard the man say more than 10 words, usually in a post race interview.....
Wow - when he was talking about his "baby" being in the funny car...riding around in DW's car, cat in the back seat....great stuff!
Force IS funny...when Elliott Sadler was talking about being on the show, Force said..."If I looked like him, I sure wouldn't be here!"
Elliott Rocks, he's got a good chance to win on Sunday.
And Jr's page is

There should be about 9 drivers joining Infield Parking sometime this weekend.
I missed him there, but saw him earlier during Busch qualifying. He can talk like Herm, he went for about 6 minutes straight. Ended up saying if he and his daughter had to race each other he would kick her butt or something to that effect. LOL
ES on the hunting clip, "we do the Dukes of Hazard thing..."
And he's already said, "Nope...no more jumping off the stage!" lol
I would not mind seeing the ex Candyman in Victory Lane, either.
....just a good ol boy... lol

Did Not Qualify: 95 Wayne Edwards |
"My wife loves me...she doesn't like me much though. But when I did that to her girl...talk about not being liked!"
And from back in the day....DW gives Force a model of the #11 car....the story: Force was just getting started, to make it short, DW called and asked if they could store DW's #11 car in Force's garage...sure. Then Force, his kids, crew memembers, etc, took turns pushing each other around in DW's car in front of Force's garage, "Look at me, I'm DW. Had my cat, too...in the back seat!"
You should have seen DW laughing!
Good show. and they need to have him back on!
"I'd hit the wall in every turn....I'm so used to going straight!"
ROTF
almost race time!
Glad to see I'm not the only on that has problems taking pictures at speed!
I lost any respect I had for him after I heard him say his heroes are Oprah and JFK.
You need to watch the NHRA a little more. He says more in a 30 second interview and most in 30 minutes. And this is after he gets out of a car that just ran the quarter mile at over 300 mph.
