don-o got me into the league this AM. I have one question though, can you activate different drivers on your team for qualifying and the race or do your active drivers have to stay the same for both events?

Daytona is the only race that you don't get qualifying points. Special events like the All-star race don't count at all of course.

For all other races the 2 drivers in "A" 4 in "B" and 2 in "C" get qualifying points if they qualify in the top 4. When it comes to race points the 1 in "A" 2 in "B" and 1 in "C" you have checked are the only ones you get points for.

My brother-in-law is at his first Daytona 500...he is thrilled to say the least!! Childhood dream come true he calls it. We're all Dale Jr. fans, and Dale Sr. of course.

• Phil Parsons, younger brother of 1975 Daytona 500 champion and 1973 NASCAR champion Benny Parsons, has been named Honorary Starter for the 49th annual Daytona 500 on Sunday, Feb.
• The multi-platinum genre bending country music duo and Grammy nominated Big & Rich will perform the National Anthem for the 49th annual Daytona 500 on Feb. 18 at historic Daytona International Speedway. (Big Kenny) and John Rich formed Big & Rich in 1998 and the duo has released two chart-topping albums - "Horse Of A Different Color" and "Comin' To Your City" - and has another album due out by the middle of 2007.
• Also participating in Daytona 500 pre-ceremonies will be actor Nicolas Cage as Grand Marshal, singer Kelly Clarkson in the NEXTEL Tribute To America and baseball legend Cal Ripken Jr. as Daytona 500 pace car driver.

Yes, but only from the 8 you picked. Those 8 are locked in usually the early morning of qualifying.......like 2am ET.
