OH MY GACK!!!!!!! That picture at the beginning of the thread tonight is THE SCARIEST thing I've EVER seen! I'm, I'm, I'm not sure what else to say... EEEEEEWWWWWWWW!
(shudder)
Yuk!
Anyway, I came on to say I think Katherine is gonna be gone after tomorrow. I hate to say it - she really is talented. But she was at a severe disadvantage tonight and her song choice was poor. Flubbing the lyrics really hurt her. Too bad.
My ranking after tonight:
Taylor
Elliot
Chris
Kat
don't buy into dial idol...
there was a software update released on 5/7 that had to be downloaded for the software to work tonight.
I have been dialing both of Chris' numbers for 15 minutes and I have only gotten through 1 time in 15 minutes.
The boy just took a Mariano Rivera heater deep in Yankee Stadium tonight.
That was about as clutch a singing performance as you will see from someone.
Chris and Kat are in a tie for the bottom on Dial Idol.
She's going down faster than an intern in the Clinton White House.
I love 3 Dog Night....when I was in HS, it was one of the best concerts I went to....and yes, I know that makes me old! I'm trying to remember some of their songs and what I want Taylor to sing.
ROLFMAO!! She did!
Chris is just too one dimensional. No there there with Chris.
Mike gave Brandon a bath and the baby is asleep...for now...
Methinks Chris is fading a little, though he picked great songs tonight and really did ok with them, especially the first. At this point even a good performance can send one packing!
He's getting to be a bore.
Amen. Thank you for saying that, mathluv.
(And sorry about the "Elvis" photo before :)
Taylor hit a homerun with In the Ghetto, but the night belonged to the E-TRAIN. He had two homeruns.
In the Ghetto and Trouble are easily the two best performances of the season. And "Dream" is very close behind.
1. Tie Elliot - Trouble - Awesome great fantastic super superb wonderful.
1. Tie Taylor - In The Ghetto - Put in on arecord right now #1 with a bullet immediately.
3. Elliot - If I Could Dream - Great great vocal. Performance was a little bland, but awesome vocals.
4. Chris - Suspicious Minds - For me his best of the year. Right up there with Walk the Line. Any other night he would be at the top.
5. Taylor - Jailhouse Rock - vintage fun fun fun Taylor. Absolute blast to watch, but it is just a fluff song.
6. Chris - A Little Less Conversation - Very boring bland song first half. Picked it up second half. Awesome finish.
7. Katherine - I Cant help Falling In Love - all over the place. Screechy. Tried overly hard, I think she felt the pressure tonight and then panicked after bombing the first song.
8. Katherine - Hound Dog - The DOG is DEAD!!! Manic, wierd, and forgetting the lyrics is unforgivable.
I see no way Kat makes it through this week. This is two straight weeks she tanked one song - and this time she did not save it with the second song.
Ranking : Elliot, Taylor, Chris, Katherine
I like Chris but I agree about him being "one dimensional."
I'd love to see a Taylor/Elliott final. That would rock.
Chris got a little "Constantine-ish" with the attitude and the camera mauling tonight.
Heard "Shambala" on the radio today. Great song(one of many.)
LOL!
I was just thinking that same thing--both Kenny and Priscilla would look FINE if they'd left their faces alone. Now instead of looking younger, they just look weird.
