Chris was going to sing Dream On as his choice tonight. Wouldn't that have been awesome!

I guess I'm just a rocker chic. I liked Bo last year. But Chris has been my all time Idol favorite. I liked him from the auditions. I thought he had an incredible voice.

I have to say though, Taylor did really well tonight. A Balding vs Graying finale would have been fun. It looks like we're going to get a TayTay vs TaTa though.

In many ways, I feel like I'm home! :-)

I'm saving that quote too :)

I figure that between all the contestants the problems are most likely evenly distributed.

But, at least they know that people weren't making it up last week.

It happens every year. I think that's why they ignored it.

It's hard to pick a #1, but somehow Over The Rainbow falls short for me even though I like the song.

It's not one I would have picked either (or even considered).

He's keeping his mouth shut now.

You better Google "Simon Cowell" on Google News. Simon is not keeping his mouth shut :-)

Relax - it was a joke about her falling over drunk actually. No one was joking about abuse (other than alcohol).

I have to wonder how fair the judging is, when a contestant sings their heart out and gives a credible performance, and then Simon says, I'll give you a "7" on the vocals. Well he should give Kat a 4.5 on her Rainbow vocals.

That said, I did enjoy her last song, it was catchy and she delivered on that one.

"A Balding vs Graying finale would have been fun. It looks like we're going to get a TayTay vs TaTa though."

Well...this household did our best to keep Elliott in it, but things aren't looking good per Dial Idol and Tradesports.

I'm just hoping that E's 3rd numbers are better than Kat's. Since Dial Idol isn't including them it's the only chance he's got to pull it out of a hat.

I also recall that Paris was on the bottom and Kellie went home. I guess we'll have to find out tomorrow like everyone else. LOL

The ONLY way that this season of AI will be saved, IMHO, is if Taylor wins...because I have thought from the start it should be between those two for the finals...

Wouldn't THAT have been fun to watch???

I may be kind of sappy, also, because I like the fact the Chris has a wife, and kids, and actually had a job...so this would really change his life, but help him support his family.

BUT, he has great looks...so I HOPE he doesn't go crazy and leave his wife for some groupies!!

With the West Coast bump for Kat and the DI underreporting of text votes, even Taylor may be falling behind the pseudo-diva.

Maybe Simon is trying to give Taylor the kiss of death by picking him to win...

He thought Chris and Kellie would be in the final three...yikes.

"Simon Cowell Picks Taylor Hicks To Win 'Idol' "

Really? I hadn't heard that. Well...I guess he's going to be right again! (I think he's 4-0 right now.)
But it was a pretty easy bet that once Chris was gone Taylor was the hands down favorite to win.

Neither Elliott or Katharine have the fan base to beat him now. (Unless Katharine borrows some Victoria Secret lingere from Tyra Banks to wear if she make the final)

Elliot--I like the guy--but he sang three dull songs tonight and tried to sing them too hard.

Two were chosen for him (which a lot of people will ignore) and yeah, he tried to do more with what he had to work with. Paula wanted to be sung to tonight. He is likely to be the one to leave tonight but he's done better than Kat this season.

"The only reason she's still "in it" is because of the lazy Chris fans who didn't vote for him last week thinking he was a "shoe in."

No, actually she had more voters than he did.

Which is why he was thrown from the train.

"The man in her life may be abusing her and you make a perverted joke out of it.

Maybe its a woman.

And do people really still talk like they're in a Wayne's World episode?

Idol Busy Percent Actual Rank
Taylor Hicks 86.867 -
Taylor Hicks #2 84.556 -
Katharine McPhee 79.066 -
Elliott Yamin 77.893 -
Elliott Yamin #2 76.226 -
Katharine McPhee #2 75.242 -
Margin of error: Per Idol; not scientific.

Note that Kat's first number is what's giving her the edge. They're not using the 3rd number so if that favor Elliott it's pretty much even money. Last week they had Chris on the bottom and HE also gets a huge text vote base. That's why I thought he'd be safe, but the Dail Idol crew called it right.
Again...it's going to be "off" this week like it was for Kellie vs Paris. That week they went to 2 numbers and DI only had the first. For some reason the later numbers seem to favor the "underdog."

Yeah, I think that's why he looked so dejected when he was voted off. He had more riding on the competition than himself.

I hope the same thing. He speaks so fondly of his wife, an she of him. I'm also impressed that someone so young would take on the reponsibility of two children. From what I've read, he's very involved as if they were biologically his. His current band is a Christian band, and I hope he holds to those principals because he's going to need them. I'd be ticked if he left his wife. Being a family guy is one of his appeals.
