I thought he did well tonight. Don't be nervous yet. :)
To: Conservative Texan Mom
Kind of funny, but IMO Randy Jackson has become irrelevant to the show.

Randy: "I got a name for you. Your name from now on is "Have A Good Time Funky Taylor"!" I don't even remotely pretend to understand that one. LOL!!! It wasn't he most intelligent comment I've heard from Randy :)

Is anyone else having trouble with Elliott's 2nd number (04)?
My wife is trying to get through and get some recording that's clearly not from AI.
That's just weird!

(Taylor--he sings, writes his own songs, plays instruments, has charisma, and he's the whole package.)
To: TonyWpi
Just tried it. Got through the first time. Elliot's voice. Seems okay to me.

And being good on ALL THREE songs, should say something. Yes.
And add to that the fact that Taylor has never--not even once--been in the bottom group ... I think he's going to be the next Idol.

Here's what bugs me about Katharine and why I want Taylor to win. Kat has no connection with anything she sings. SOTR was the closest she has come but still wasn't there. She's an automoton on stage. Smiling when the camera is on and pouting when she gets the slightest criticism. And then she smiles all the way through a song called "I Aint' Got Nothin But The Blues." What the hell is that about?
Taylor is not the best vocalist but he's pretty darn good. His passion for music is what stirs my soul. Give me someone who has a true passion for what they do over anyone who is merely technically good any day of the week. Taylor was born to play music. Did you see him wailing on the harmonica in B'Ham last week? He has music in his soul and Kat can never come close to that. I'm a musical snob and love true artistry. For once, just once, I want to see a true artist succeed and be recognized in something like this. That would do all of us idealist proud.
