If Chris fan boards (and FR) are any indication, most of the anger over Chris getting the undeserved early boot is being directed at Taylor, not Kat.

Got this from another board.

next week they will do 3 songs each. Their choice, the judges choice & Clive Davis' choice.

This is my favorite week. Hope its true.

I noticed that. Why blame him for doing well? I guess because they saw him as their main obstacle. He did well, made his fans happy and they VOTED.

Yep, Kat beating Chris is the real headscratcher. Even she had a look of "it's my turn to go" all night. She seems to get a ton of text votes and West Coast votes. Plus being the only female I guess. I'm still really pulling for a Tay/E finale!

Kat has an amazing voice but she would do well with a professional trainer. Raw talent will get her started but someone to really teach her the way to use her voice will make it so we are hearing her songs for a long long time. If Motola takes her on, she's going to be a STAR! She surely does have a world more potential than Britney the poptart but needs someone to take charge of her voice.

Song selection is probably her biggest weakness (she falls into the trap of trying to sing the "diva" songs too often). I think she'll be great in a recording studio, but she really needs to work on her live performances.

Hey, I just noticed that when Simon spoke after In The Ghetto, he said 'you just sung your wsay into the semi finals young man. First off, aren't they already in the semi finals?

In the context that two weeks from now is the "final", then next week could be considered the "semifinal".

If you want to see "attitude" check out the video of Chris in the plane on the way to Graceland. That's when he lost a pile of voters.

Is there an online source so I can see that? Thanks.

Would that make this week the tertiary final? When they made it to the top 12 weren't they then in the semis?

It's Chris

Maybe this will put a stop to the "chosen one" conspiracy theories

Everyone is shocked!!

Not me. I knew the guy who finished third to the other two was going to be in trouble. Chris also hurt himself in that his second song was mostly boring, followed by over the top at the end. If you're going to tank one, especially if you're going to make people snooze, do it on your first number, not your second.

I'm not terribly shocked about Chris being the one to go tonight. Katharine should be going, but we've talked about Chris' limitations several times. I'd rather talk about being absolutely delighted for Elliott. He was the darkest of dark horses and look how far he's come. I think Taylor has to be the favorite to win the competition now, but I hope Elliott makes it to the finale.

I agree 100% with everything above.

To you and all Chris's fans here: You have my sympathies tonight. Chris did not deserve to go. Y'all know who did. But as others have said, this may turn out to be a better boost to Chris's career, not being tied down to an AI contract. He's had worldwide exposure now. With his talent, drive, and looks, he will succeed.

Bah. The only thing Chris has going for him is the AI exposure. You can go into a bar in any city in the US and find a local band with a lead singer who is just like Chris. It's a "dime-a-dozen" situation, and he'd better cash in on his notoriety quickly, because it will be over soon.

Tonight alone, "tits" has been used a number of times. How incredibly juvenile. And it's no less offensive than people making fun of Elliott's teeth.

Agreed. And it completely misses the point that her good performances as are good as Elliott's. She just needs more consistency and better song selection.

The juvenile comments are coming from jealous women and men who want to pretend that they're immune from feminine wiles.

This is exactly what my brother said has happened in previous seasons. The 4th to the last to be voted off was usually great, and not the obvious choice to go home.

Well, as a counter point to that theory, it was Fedorov last year.

I don't know what's in the video, but if I'm not mistaken, it wasn't shown until last night, after the votes were cast.

I thought they showed it Tuesday. They might have reshown it on Wednesday though.

It's Florida 2000 all over again--I wanted to vote for Chris, but I called Pat Buchanan instead :)

I hate it when that happens.

Kat sang much better tonight than she did last night.

After hearing the medley, I thought she should have ditched her second number on Tuesday for "Are You Lonesome Tonight" -- much better fit for her voice, and it plays to the "sultry" aspect that she should be selling.

And the country twang she had it in just makes me smile, thinking that, all of the Pickler fans aside, Kat sings country better than Kellie does.
