I ain't happy either. Seacrest just said it matter-of-factly: "Chris, the journey ends for you tonight."
Poor guy looked like he was going to be sick.
From what I understand:
1)Hers was the worst performance from what I understand.
2)AI has been pushing her from the get go
3)I recognize her talent. It is her attitude that bothers me, and causes me to gravitate to anyone but her. None of the others seem to have the ego she has. Easy to understand though. What a beautiful girl she has always been and she has parents who fawn all over her like the world revolves around her. The virtue of humility, or at least pretending to be, is not her strong suit.
Are you sure about that? On LKL Simon said that only the winner is guaranteed a contract because when they used to give contracts to others it diminishes the win.
Don't leave! Chris will be back for the finale in two weeks!
Well, I am shocked and miffed.
We are a Chris/Kat house, and so now ALL our votes will go to Kat!
I was almost going to stop watching, that was such a shock. It was to him, too. And Kat? I think she thought she was going home for certain. She was totally shocked it was Chris.
When they let Taylor do his song again, I thought he might possibly be the one to go. I thought that was cheesy that they had just him perform again. Oh well.
no they don't have to release him from his 1 yr AI contract but they can give him permission to start on his album while he is in his 1 yr AI contract. You have to go back and read some of the contract info I posted back on the first thread. I don't think AI will hold him back as long as he keeps up with his 1 yr AI contract.
"I know I am not looking forward to next week NEARLY as much now.'
Yes, you've said it best.
You're welcome. I'm sure the Final Four was happy for the consolation prize of going to Graceland and meeting Pricilla and Lisa Marie. Not too bad for sloppy seconds, eh?
I'm not really bitter, the remaining three are good, but my wife and I really just tuned in to watch and hear Chris. As pathetic as it sounds, I waited for his performances each week with bated breath. At least his two best, I Walk The Line and A Little Less Conversation, are with me always.
Remember that deafening silence when Mandisa was cut? Same thing tonight. Everyone looked like they got punched in the stomach.
What was the look on Simon's face? I was busy looking at Paula put her head in her hands on the table.
You sure are one ugly person!
I have Chris' mp3 of "I Walk the Line" and I listen to it often.
I've never wanted an mp3 of anything McPhee sang.
That is what is so maddening about this...
Not only did she not sing well...she did forget her lyrics at least in one song.
This is just so wrong...
Just last night, Ryan was asking Chris about his fan clubs...and Chris named off quite a few, with different names...
Did they all think he was such a shoe-in that they didn't need to vote???
I just don't get it.
And you probably hooted and hollered every time little miss hickler twanged away....
to each their own.
My son is 15 and doesn't like Chris, so he won't be buying any CD's of Chris'.
I have a feeling that Mandisa will be working with Barry Manilow. He really really loved her voice. I did too!
How do you figure that?
All three judges dismissed her performances last night and Simon said tonight that he thought she should be the one going home.
>>>Elliott is terrific. I love both him and Taylor<<<
I'm so glad Elliott made it on to next week.
MarMema must be doing the happy dance tonight!
