Haven't seen the NRA mentioned in this thread. They are who won it for Bush in 2000. Wonder why the gun issue is a loser fro dems? Look at West Virginia's Presidential race in 2000.
I'm tapped out with sending $ to Thune and Talent. I'm also working to turn out our vote in Texas!!!!

Take back the Constitution bump! West Virginia played a key role in keeping Gore out of the Whitehouse. Now it could be poised as a great first step to restoring our Constitution.

The gun issue is primary to our efforts here on the ground.
We have huge signs going up at every major intersection, and near the entrances to every Walmart, that say:
NRA RATING:
ROCKEFELLER 'F'
WOLFE 'A'
Believe me, the pro-gun forces are working their hearts out for Jay Wolfe.

I've been out of town for the past 2 days went to see my grandson for his 1st birthday.
Van and weasel phil are tied according to latest polls. Some one broke into weasel's campaign office, UNLOCKED and rifled desks, pilferd a computer, and weasel wants to blame Van and his people.

Was that you who called Sean Hannity's program today in support of Jay Wolfe? I wonder if Sean would have Jay on his program one day soon.

Thanks for the information on Van, just wondered how his campaign was going. Good luck, and a win for him.

I became convinced a long time ago that the Dems will do ANYTHING to win---and I do mean anything.

Jay, if you're reading this, hit the WAL-MARTS and grocery stores, etc. Send all your friends, family and campaign supporters to one of these stores and have them hand out a hand out a simple Xerox-copied flyer stating..."WHY VIRGINAINS NEED JAY WOLFE", or "VIRGINIANS AREN'T FOR SALE", or something to that effect.
Rapidity is the essence of war. Take advantage of the enemy's unreadiness, make your way by unexpected routes, and attack unguarded spots.

If you go to:
http://www.jaywolfe.net
...and click on the box right next to Jay's photo, you will see the 'Jay vs. Jay Poll'.
That is the same content as our main literature piece which has been being distributed through the mail, and in the hundreds of thousands through our grassroots volunteers.
Walmart does not allow literature distribution in it's stores or on it's property.
However, we are doing something just as effective. Right now there are huge 4x8 signs going up near all of the entrances to Walmarts across the state. They read:
NRA RATING:
Rockefeller 'F'
Wolfe 'A'
Well over 90% of the hunting supplies sold in WV are purchased at Walmart, and there are over 300,000 holders of hunting licences...those signs are, politically speaking, the equivalent of tactical nukes! ;-)

Good work!
Those signs should be effective for gun enthusiasts. I still think you should get some people (attractive young ladies work best!)to pass out the flyers comparing Rockefeller/Jay. They can stand at the entrance/exit from WALMART. Have them wear T-SHIRTS that read "THANKS" in big letters, then they can say "Thanks for shopping at WALMART, don't forget to vote on election day." or something. The "THANKS" on the T-Shirts will make most people curious enough to stop on their own.
Don't forget the grocery stores, they may have "OFFICIAL" policies against distributing political literature, etc, but practically speaking, it's up to the mgr whose on duty when you get there.
I've done my fair shair of petition circulating, and most of it was done at grocery stores. If you're nice, and make sure the mgr know that you will be only offering info to people ON THEIR WAY OUT, and WITHOUT ANY HARRASSING, etc...they're usually fine with it.

BUMP back to the top!

Amen brother! Here in Oregon the Republicans consistently run weak candidates for state and federal positions that make Bob Dole look exciting. Then they wonder why a state that has voted down a sales tax 9 times in landslides is controlled by Democrats.Because liberal morons like my parents, who live in Beaverton, keep voting them into office!!
I know I should be the ever-loving son, but my mother makes Barbra Streisand sound reasonable!
