I vaguely recall getting the record in the mail inside my MAD magazine as a child.

I have an online source for issues of the old MAD and now I see how it was really a humor magazine for adults with only some of its content being suitable for kids, and I remember not seeing the humor in much of it, especially the social and political commentaries.

I recall seeing an “ad” in one mag. for Salem cigarettes. It was a cigarette pack floating upright on the water & the pack read “Sail’em, Don’t inhale ‘em”...

Yeah, I remember that one...My friend and I tried Salem cigs and didn’t like them, so we went around saying “better sail ‘em than smoke ‘em” to any other kid who was smoking Salems as we puffed on our Marlboro Reds.
