Not really, since his chest armor probably shifted his center of gravity forward and led to the face plant.

1 Samuel 17:5 And he had an helmet of brass upon his head, and he was armed with a coat of mail; and the weight of the coat was five thousand shekels of brass. You had no clue, did you.

You must be a nit-picking baptist only go to heaven sort. All I was saying was the preponderance of weight of his armor (or coat of mail) would be on his front to cause him to fall forward.
Now, go back to your proof texting to make yourself feel holy and righteous.

If you knew the story you would realize that both armies were on a mountain.
3 And the Philistines stood on a mountain on the one side, and Israel stood on a mountain on the other side: and there was a valley between them. Goliath came down to meet David...
48 And it came to pass, when the Philistine arose, and came, and drew nigh to meet David, that David hastened, and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine. Goliath was probably still on the down slope approaching David and THAT is the most probable cause of him doing a face plant.
But you do you.

One might consider that Goliath and his shield bearer were both looking down at the ground, watching their step as they went downhill, and never even saw the stone coming.
What an ignominious end. He never saw it coming.

I have often thought Goliath underestimated David, and may have looked away, perhaps at his adoring fans, this bringing on his demise. He may not even have known David was armed with a sling. Goliath mentions a “stick” as I recall.

43 And the Philistine said unto David, Am I a dog, that thou comest to me with staves? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods. Close.
