Umm, washing ill gains by gambling it?
It’s a payola system - not unlike Hillary Clinton’s ‘winning bets’ through the futures market.

Unless you file as a professional gambler, it is virtually impossible to claim your losses. I recently won a federal tax court case on this for a client.
Although he can claim the losses as itemized deductions, his high income would phase them out.

You can gamble all day, replay and lose your winnings, come out even at the end of the day, and end up paying taxes on all your winnings and not being able to deduct your losses.
The tax laws on gambling suck.

Was his gambling income from investment in gambling establishments? In other words, was he the house? Was he taking advantage of racial minorities, who are the main targets of online gambling establishments?
I’m sure his lucky streak has nothing to do with the hundreds of millions of dollars gangs and cartels in control of the major city in his state earn.

Unless he owns the casinos, there’s no way that money is gambling winnings. More likely it was palm greasing.
You can deduct your losses up to the amount of winnings, however you better have every withdrawal from the bank in a very well organized detailed description spreadsheet, in case of audit.
