Yes, jurisdiction in Virginia versus D.C. does decrease the chances of partisan jury nullification, so that part of the unusual zoom-call hearing situation is sweet justice.

Unfortunately, though, it probably doesn’t decrease those chances by much, unless you restrict the jury to southwest Virginians!

Not all perjury is the same in a legal sense.

There has to be materiality to what is the purpose of the hearing.

For example, if Senator Cruz asked Comey out of the blue how many grandchildren he has and he intentionally replied with the wrong number, Comey would not be charged with perjury. Why? It wasn’t material to the hearing.

If he was, it would be laughed out of Court.
