It’s a problem that a small 10% tariff ought to convince free traitors to deal with. Unfortunately free traitors have to be strong armed.
Even better!
Imagine if China sinks a US carrier defending Taiwan? Under Trump the response would be swift and devastating and could escalate to tactical nukes.
“...we have sufficient conventional weapons to destroy...”
A Russian submarine-launched ballistic missile can reach the United States in approximately 10 to 15 minutes after launch, depending on the launch location and the missile’s range.
China and Russia established diplomatic relations after the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991, and share one of the world’s most important foreign relationships. Both nations share interest in energy cooperation, military ties, global stability, and geopolitical alignment in challenging the West.
In December 1996, at the end of Chinese Premier Li Peng’s visit to Moscow, Russia and China issued a joint communique pledging to build an “equal and reliable partnership.” In 2001, the close relations between the two countries were formalized with the Treaty of Good-Neighborliness and Friendly Cooperation, a twenty-year strategic, economic, and – controversially and arguably – an implicit military treaty. China has all the military help they need. And don’t automatically think India is going to rebel against China as they are their biggest trading partners.
AS of January 2025, and if they get together, the Russian Chinese combined nuclear inventories would have 6’059 warheads. The combines of the US, France, UK, Pakistan, Israel and Korea would equal 6,002.
Launching is in the hands of the foreign countries as it is. Can you trust China or Russia to use some common sense? If it happens, there won’t be anything left on the surface to live on after about two years depending on how many survive the initial and who can get through the nuclear winter that will last about a decade.
“In 1990 the TTAPS group decided to publish a further paper (TTAPS, 1990), in which they reviewed in detail the later studies, and made some modifications to their 1983 results. Some of these were in the direction of more severe changes, others towards milder changes. But overall the general picture was little changed. One very notable conclusion that was reiterated from the 1983 study was that if oil refineries were the main targets, only 100 bombs would be enough to cause a nuclear winter.”
Do the math. If it takes only 100 warheads to create a nuclear winter, then which thousand do you want to use with the first ones detonating in less than a half hour at any place on earth? Conventional weaponry doesn’t mean much at that point.

Nobody is nuking anyone ever. They are bluff weapons.
To him, it’s America vs foreigners.

You’re looking out the side windows in the church of what’s happening right now.
Trump did not alienate americas allies. He drew them closer to the USA. How? Why? The Japanese committed 550 billion dollars to invest in the USA industry. They have given trump wide lattitude to invest the money as he sees fit. They want the money invested in ventures that will yield profit and they want 10% of the profits—meaning the USA gets 80% of the profits. The Koreans have pledged to invest 250 billion in the USA. Total investments coming into the USA over the next 5 years or so are now over 10 trillion dollars.
Those investments will come at the exact moment when AI will set off an industrial revolution the scale of the industrial revolution of the late 19th century.
Trumps goal is to completely reverse the direction of the economy that people have seen for the last 60 years or so.
If anyone can do it—he can. When the big beautiful bill was signed on July 3, the stock market did what’s known as a golden cross. that’s when the 30 day average crosses above the 90 day average. Its considered to be the most bullish signal there is.
The big beautiful bill is designed to make the economy extremely robust at this time next year in time for the mid terms. The object is to hold on to the house of representatives so the democrats can’t make Trump a lame duck in his last two years.
But that’s only just to warm things up. What’s coming is huge.
What most people don’t understand about Trump is that Trump is a builder by trade. He built skyscrapers in Manhattan which is probably the most cutthroat and complicated place in the entire world to do business and the building business there is most complicated of them all. But trump didn’t just build buildigs or skyscraper. He built whole skylines in Manhattan. Most politicians in the USA have never built anything. They don’t know how things actually work. Nor do they understand that Trump is competent on a scale that is matched only by Elon Musk.
Oh and then there is Elon Musk.
Starting next year the USA is going to enjoy growth rates that the Chinese have have enjoyed for 20 years. Not coincidentally they did so because after they ascended into the WTO foreign investments to the tune of about 10-12 trillion dollars poured into China.
Similar amounts are set to poured into the USA in the coming years.
The growth will not be concentrated on the coasts either. Most parts of the USA will be reindustrialized. The rust belt will go away.
You want to dig in your heels and say “won’t happen”. Fine but don’t bet on it.
“You sink a carrier, we take out the Three Gorges Dam with ICBMs”
Good plan except China actually has DF5 ICBMs with 5 megaton warheads that can hit Hoover dam and crack it in a single hit. We only have 300 kiloton MM3 and we down loaded those to single warheads each it would take half a dozen or more to break the world’s largest gravity dam.
Then China would hit every other industrial site, specifically the ports of L.A., San Francisco, Houston and the refinery complex next to Houston, Chicago ,New York, D.C. For sure go up. They probably would ground burst the Midwest and great Plains upwind of the farmland to ensure everyone starves who survived the initial exchanges.
Remember the Chinese have 1.4 billion people spread out over a USA sized area, they could lose 700 million and still be a functional ethnic group and rebuild in fairly short order. The USA has 340 million and losing 200 million would end the USA forever. They win in a nuclear exchange by demographics alone. Also they like the Russians have massive nuclear fallout shelters for millions of their citizens especially the science and engineers. The USA doesn’t even bother with civilian bunkers they expect you to die, only the gov and the elites have massive bunkers under the Virginia hills some in the central USA too but they are not for joe six pack at all.
“China is not a long term military threat for the same reason Japan lost the war. China needs to import both coal and oil to keep the lights on. That coal and oil must travel into water controlled by nations not really friendly with China. A shut down of shipping of both imports and exports and China collapse”
You just answered why China added three Texas worth of solar panels and three more Texas worth of wind power in the first six months of this year. They don’t care about climate change but their engineers know how to build on massive scales energy harvesting machines and the ultra high voltage transmission lines to move that power from the deserts and mountain tops to the cities 30+ HVDC and UHVAC to date. They are moving as fast as they can away from coal and imported oil for exactly the reasons you said they have to import them. 50% or all vehicles sold in China are BEVs again they don’t give a sh1t about carbon they are petroleum poor and electricity rich. They are building the world’s largest hydroelectric power system its not an individual plant its a string of them 70,000 megawatts worth that is what Texas used today from a single project. Once China is ppwered by its deserts and mountain tops you won’t be able to embargo them and that’s exactly the plan it is easy to see they are building out exactly that on a truly massive scale.
