Every green card and other foreign born CDL holder needs to be tested for english proficiency with a DHS person supervising the tests. No cell phones allowed. The companies they work for must be put out of business and sued if their drivers were not properly vetted.

I have personally seen a phone app delivery driver who spoke no English and had to use two phones..one for the app and one for a video call to a literate friend to read for them to pick out their products. This guy was then driving to make the delivery likely still being coached by his friend on video call. Of course in Minnesota illegals are ha ded drivers licenses no questions asked.

Indeed it would.

On my daily commute on the freeway, I'd have a semi try to kill me at least once a week.

Foreign drivers are by far the worst.

They a unskilled and they have absolutely no regard for safety or following the rules of the road. They work for fly by night shell companies that operate until they are forced out of business and then they re start under a different name.

They come from Eastern Europe, Mexico, South America, India, Pakistan and other third world locations. Nobody carers because independent trucking brokers put loads up for grabs on web sites and other networks and take the first operator who is willing to transport the load.

The trucking shortage has been so bad that nobody is asking any questions - they just want to get the goods to the destination at the best and most profitable price.
