That would be to tighten the state legislatures even further.

The Voting Rights Act could require more preclearance for states that have become left-wing bastions where most people get zero representation and everyone represents a city or two.

Summary rulings that allow exceptions by Dem judges. It’s the 9th circuit after all.

“Massachusetts may join the fray. Oh, wait...”

Exactly! The dems have been at this for years without response. They have shot their redistricting ball. The Red States, somewhat but not as much as they could. Even sillier is the notion that Newsom wasn’t going to do this anyway. The guy is a lunatic.

Registered Democratic voters

Telephone books from around the world.

In California you go big when votes count.

There should be a Federal Election Law passed as an interpretation of the protection clause that requires state apportionment of districts to result in a mix or representatives that approximates the voter registration percentages.

Allow independent registrations to be split according to the ratio of major party registrations.

This would eliminate all the games of gerrymandering.

Here is my longer post on this with more specific details of the calendar problem and why it will fail to impact the 2026 mid-term elections.

43 ouf of 52 is gerrymandering. That’s how it stands now.

They have state laws that don’t allow it.
