PS. Same campus, where - when progressives were insisting that men and women are the same (Girl Power! etc.) - I went to the library and looked up the old U.S. News & World Report, Newsweek, and Time magzines . . . the cover of which, among those (I forget which), had "Boys and Girls are Different" <-- something like that.

“I just wish the GOP would be more aggressive in promoting choice and competition, they have been dismal.”

The federal government has legally required GM to bargain with the UAW.

The federal government can say both underperforming and overtaxing school districts have to bargain in good faith with companies that wish to run schools and have the proven ability to do so.

In the case of underperforming schools, many students are getting stiffed. In the case of overtaxing school districts, the property taxpayers are getting stiffed.

Brown vs. Board of Education makes it 100% clear that federal government can step in when there is educational inequality.

The public-school students in Chicago and Los Angeles are often not being served well by their unionized teachers.

Amendment XIV was meant to be enforced by Congress.

IIRC, back in the 1980s, I went through the stacks at the Big U. campus library . . . and found the magazine; made copies of the cover.

Now, trying to search online, I have not been able to find it.

Another thing that might be done is that a group of parents with a classroom size limit number of students might be allowed to hire a teacher using school funds.

If the classroom size limit is 20 students, Mr. & Mrs. One, Mrs. Two...and Mr. & Mrs. Twenty, might get together and say the school district should hire Ms. Dedicated at the school district salary schedule rate.

This might first be done when their kids are in the 2nd grade. In the following year, their kids should all be in the 3rd grade.

The parent groups would follow pretty much the same group of students as the students work their way through school.

Dear Parents:

The Barack Obama Elementary School is having an independent teacher hiring fair July 26th at the School starting at 1pm in the auditorium. The potential independent teachers for the first grade will speak first. It will take a group of parents & guardians for 20 children to sponsor an independent teacher. A completed and signed sponsorship form must be handed in to the school board office by 3pm August 8th.

Your School Superintendent

“Boys and girls are different; I am going to state it up front. I know some people would disagree with me but there are many reasons why we can very emphatically say that boys and girls are not the same. They do not learn the same way, they do not think the same way and they do not interact socially or emotionally the same way.”

“At 26 weeks the hormones that determine male biology sever up to 25% of that interconnectivity between right and left hemispheres of the male brain, so essentially the male brain rewires itself to function in utero with less interconnectivity. Before boys are born, their brains are rewired to process information differently to girls. Their connectivity within each hemisphere actually increases and their interconnectivity decreases.”

“Our brains work sequentially but women can switch between the left and right sides of their brain very rapidly and so it gives the impression that they can keep multiple tasks running at once; whereas boys, because it takes time for them to switch between left and right brain, tend to process things in a very linear fashion. They do not like to be given too many pieces of information at once and they tend not to take in too many pieces at once.

“Ladies, if you have ever spoken to your husband or your significant other while he is watching the footy, you might have said something like “Can you take the garbage out?” and he has grunted at you and nodded his head but then two hours later the garbage is still sitting in the bin! This is because when he is doing something, he is 100% focused on that thing.”

The unions, all public employee unions, must go. Especially in education. They have destroyed the curriculum. They alone are responsible why our students now lag the world.

It's the teachers in these unions that do the evil dirty work.

The problem is with teacher unions is they are state teacher’s unions. They’ll have to be decertified a state at a time.

Yep, school reform will really have to be done at the state level. Meaning the Blue states will have no reforms. We are really setting things up for some comparative data in the next decades when it comes to Red v. Blue.

Parental teacher hiring juries might be created.

Dear Mrs. Parent:

Your child Judy is in the 4th grade. The Lake Woebegone School District is in the process of hiring a new 5th grade teacher for your child’s school.

You are hereby summoned to report for teacher hiring jury duty at 10am August 2nd at the school board building....

The PPACA had an expensive health insurance tax.

It was based on a fixed amount nationwide and was killed off.

The tax could be revived and be based on exceeding say 110% of the rating area PPACA subsidy baseline premium.
