The Catholic canon reflects the broader Jewish Septuagint (LXX), widely used in Jesus’ time, which included these books.

Again, incorrect as previously noted. And it actually doesn't reflect the entire Septuagint....but I think you know that. I think.

Early Christian writers (e.g., Clement of Rome, Irenaeus, Tertullian) and councils (e.g., Hippo in 393, Carthage in 397) consistently included the Deuterocanonical books in their OT canon. These councils formalized what was already widely accepted, not “added” books.

Again, irrelevant as they were not inspired as the listing Jesus gave in Luke.

The Septuagint, compiled by 200 BC, included the Deuterocanonical books and was the primary Scripture for Greek-speaking Jews and early Christians. When the NT quotes the OT, it often follows the Septuagint’s wording (e.g., Isaiah 7:14 in Matthew 1:23).

Paul quoted several non-Biblical sources....doesn't mean they should be included in the canon.

*****

The Apocrypha/Deuterocanonical books teach many things that are not true and are not historically accurate. For centuries, the Roman Catholic Church had included the Apocrypha/Deuterocanonicals in various listings of canonical books, and the Council of Hippo in AD 393 and the Third Council of Carthage in AD 397 accepted the Apocrypha as inspired. Neither council was an ecumenical or general council, though, and the impact of those decisions was limited. Many within the Catholic Church still viewed the Apocrypha as useful but not inspired. Catholics officially declared the Apocrypha/Deuterocanonicals to be inspired, authoritative Scripture at the Council of Trent in the mid-1500s, primarily in response to the Protestant Reformation. The Apocrypha/Deuterocanonicals support some of the things that the Roman Catholic Church believes and practices that are not in agreement with the Bible. Examples are petitioning saints in heaven for their prayers and almsgiving to merit grace or atone for sins.

Excuse you. You forgot baptism. That’s where you are saved and not the repeated baptism crap.

Yes. When baptized the first time. God doesn’t make me mistakes and said, “Oppsie. Get baptized again”. That’s ridiculous and devil talk.

You boys need to get your story straight.

From Catholic Answers...a RC apologetic website:

"Another possible example of baptism by desire is the thief on the cross. In his case we do not know that he was not baptized (by this time thousands of people in the area had been) and he likely died in the transitional period in history

before baptism was mandatory for salvation."

Without knowledge? Really? I am the son of a man who served in WWII and was then a dedicated missionary teaching the Bible (not some religious organization's special man-designed religion) for 45 years thereafter. He was an expert on Buddhism, Hinduism, catholicism and islam. He told me that islam was the most dangerous religion in the world.

I graduated from an elite Christian University where we actually studied the Bible in the Bible courses, not what some hypocritical and/or Godless pope, bishop or priest of the catholic church tried to force on people. When you can't win an argument, start name-calling. The scripture clearly states in Matt 13:9:

Matt. 23:9 - Do not call anyone on earth your father, For One is your Father, He who is in heaven.

Furthermore, time and space will not allow posting of the MANY atrocities committed not only by MANY popes, but by catholics also. The movie El Crimen del Padre Amaro the release of which the catholic church fought against bitterly, is a VERY accurate portrayal of the inner workings of the catholic church in Mexico. It would be better for you to remain silent than to stir the pot any further. No knowledge. Really?

A read a few words of what you posted, saw this:

3) If Mary had a sin nature, Jesus would have inherited that nature.

...and thought, "Person know nothing."

Then I wrote this reply.

New week...new playground.

Will we get to 1,075 this week?

It seems there are some new players.

Can't we just reply:

ibid.

1. Mary's not the M.O.G.
ibid.

2. Mary had other children.
ibid.

3. Mary needed a Savior.
ibid.

4. RCC is not what Jesus started.
ibid.

5. No, that's just burned toast.
ibid.

Luther et al led many Christians to false beliefs. How many different versions of protestant beliefs?

Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist. “the Heaven was opened, and the Holy Spirit descended upon him in bodily form, as a dove, and a voice came from, “You are my beloved son; and with you I am well pleased.:

Christ warned us and many didn’t listen so that blame the Catholic church and the 7 Sacraments that Jesus establish for our salvation.

Matthew 7

The Narrow Gate.
13
* “Enter through the narrow gate;* for the gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction, and those who enter through it are many.
14
How narrow the gate and constricted the road that leads to life. And those who find it are few.

False Prophets.*
15
“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but underneath are ravenous wolves.
16
l By their fruits you will know them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?
17
Just so, every good tree bears good fruit, and a rotten tree bears bad fruit.
18
A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a rotten tree bear good fruit.
19
Every tree that does not bear good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.
20
So by their fruits you will know them.

Read and understand the rest: john 3:17-21 Unbelief is a form of rebellion that puts offenders outside the safety of the covenant.

Thanks!

I love comic relief.

Do you even READ the Bible? Or, do you just take everything they feed you hook, line and sinker?

The seven sacraments of the Catholic Church, in order, are:

1. Baptism: this does not save a person per Catholic Answers,

2. Confirmation, which again, does not save anyone

3. Eucharist (also known as Holy Communion), which again, this does not save a person. It is done in remembrance of the sacrifice Christ made on the cross for us.

4. Penance and Reconciliation, which again neither saves anyone

5. Anointing of the Sick, which again does not save anyone

6. Matrimony (Marriage), which again does not save anyone

and 7. Holy Orders which again does not save anyone

That's 0 for 7.

Rome has listed a number of things a person can do....however, not one of these saves anyone.

Only calling upon the name of the Lord will save anyone. That's no where on this list of sacraments of Roman Catholicism.
