Unfortunately, that means mistakes will be made.
The alternative is to have a gatekeeper of some kind for valid information, and I simply don't trust any gatekeeper, Left or Right because they are fallible humans subject to pressures, influences, and personal prejudices and opinions.
To me, a forum like FR is the best I will hope for. Information can be crowdsourced and more stupid or extreme things can be generally deemed as significant or truthful. It isn't great, and we have people on this forum who apparently are driven by things other than the truth, but in the end, you are correct.
Gotta keep the radar up!
