I asked Grok: “In the past 10 years in the entire world, as far as you know, how many people were killed by each of the following? Pit bulls. Border collies. Cheetahs.”

I’ve found Grok to be pretty darn good at ferreting out facts.

The big problem is that the left believes GIGO is good...
...if it’s THEIR GI.
The right would be satisfied with just the facts.
Thus, in my view AI will always be nothing more than an extension of our main enemy.

This is the data from the American Vetinary Association ( which is probably where the AI got its data from).
Pit Bulls: 284 deaths
Rottweiler: 45 deaths
German Shepherd: 20 deaths
Mixed breeds: 17 deaths
American Bulldog: 15 deaths
Mastiff: 14 deaths
Siberian Husky: 13 deaths
Labrador Retriever: 9 deaths
Boxer: 7 deaths
Doberman Pinscher: 6 deaths
That’s a pretty big gap between #1 and # 2.

‘With everyone and their mother talking about AI, I keep remembering GIGO. Garbage In Garbage Out’
You seems very opinionated for someone who is clueless about how the current online AIs work.
For your information, when asked something like ‘how many killed by bulldogs’ or ‘what’s the best airfryer’, AIs like Grok or Perplexity or ChatGPT scour all the available data (internet, research papers, media archives, official statistics...) to find the answer. So its answer is the most accurate and impartial that you can ever get (since it has access to pay-walled data that you haven’t). You can make its answer even better with better directives and questions (’prompts’ in AI parlance).
So with your ‘program’ and ‘gigo’, you are talking nonsense.

Maybe true for generic AIs, but I doubt you can find anyone beating AIs specially trained for coding like Claude or Gemini Pro. It’s like comparing the best human chess player to Stockfish or whatever comes up so fast recently, humans are out of luck.

Maybe the post was in response to bad behavior on the part of a pit bull, directly or indirectly experienced by the poster. Your response would be expected of of a pit bull owner.
It wasn't the Grok response that was truly at issue. I think it was the motivation of the question submitted to Grok. I'd bet that human suffering is behind this thread.

In the United States, approximately 11,000 people are killed annually in alcohol-related crashes. This translates to about 37 deaths per day, or one death every 39 minutes. These figures represent a significant portion of all traffic fatalities, with drunk driving contributing to about 30% of these deaths.

Mosquito-borne diseases cause an estimated over one million deaths annually worldwide. This includes diseases like malaria, dengue, yellow fever, and Japanese encephalitis, among others. Malaria alone is responsible for an estimated 600,000 deaths each year.

More than 620,000 people are murdered by abortion annually in the US alone.
Globally the figure is roughly 73,000,000 annually.
