Speaker Johnson’s chief of staff stopped for DUI same night with seemingly little attention.
Some of us noticed that when President Trump was coming in, Melania had a worried look on her face. Maybe she had heard about it.
“I was afraid AL’s cane had a gun in it.”
.
.
“Cane guns” have been illegal for many years, according to BATF.
“Cane daggers” are another matter, but they can’t be brandished as a threat.
(Was it Al or AL? Bring back broader serifs).
Meanwhile, Kash is battling the incredible den of vipers he’s taken on:
Agree. Prayers up.
True that a walking stick is a weapon. And brandishing it with a swagger like Rep. Al Green did is an implied threat to the President. He does NOT use that cane for walking as a disabled person, he uses it for effect and can go out of control and use it against someone.
I just wrote a couple of days ago that I wondered if the seemingly innocent members of Congress and staff get pat downs or if that is undignified, and what if someone hated Trump so much that they carried a gun or knife.
Now we find out one gun was around.
“Not good”
Really, really not good!
Also my question! WHOSE House staffer??
Is this the very same Capitol Police that employed Michael Byrd, the ahole that murdered Ashley Babbit in cold blood, on camera?
I would be shocked if the deep state were not planning to facilitate more assassination attempts.
WHO did he work for?
The direct action wing of the Democrats.
That’s the sad truth.

Son lives across the river in Alexandria, VA and it took him over 6 months to get a concealed permit in Virginia with a top secret clearance. He looked into DC and you almost need a lawyer. One of his best friends was a Secret Service agent and he enjoyed going into DC with him because he was exempted and could carry anywhere. Even when they flew back home, he would always carry.
One time flying back to DC, he checked in with the airline to prove he was an agent, could carry etc. only to get on the plane and have a stewardess ask him if he was their armed Secret Service agent in front of other passengers. He was pissed because he felt it made him a target and he wanted to sleep on the flight.
I was hoping that link on Kash would tell us something we did not already know.
Unfortunately it was just a rehash of old news.
You’re ahead of me, for whom this was new:
“The FBI director, whose critics have branded him a conspiracy theorist, also inquired about hiring his own private security detail not long after his Senate confirmation in February, The Wall Street Journal reported.
As director, Patel is automatically assigned a team of FBI agents tasked with ensuring his safety, however, his latest request suggests that he is not willing to place his life in the hands of his very own agents.
The former prosecutor also inquired about how to get a secure phone line directly to the Oval Office from both his FBI office in Washington D.C. and his home, according to the Journal.
Patel reportedly claimed he did not wish to go through the FBI landline in his office, but instead a direct line to his ally, President Donald Trump.”
Fair point—I did not catch that.
Patel’s concern is completely legit.
My view is that Patel should view his job as a hostile takeover—with corporate hostile takeover rules.
That means several things—one of which is to immediately close any offices which indicate widespread hostility to the takeover.
Do it USAID style—lock the building—put all employees on administrative leave—lock all of them out of all systems.
Bonus points—that gives Kash his secure office!
Kash Patel is right about not trusting “his own FBI”. Odds are that there are many agents that would take him and others out if they could remain as unknown assailants. Most people in this administration will need to look over their shoulders at all times. They won’t be forgiven for working for the Trump administration. Next democrat administration will start expanded lawfare again.
After Justice, State is probably the most openly hostile Department. That is why I found it so worrisome that 99 vote-approved SoS Rubio apparently argued to Trump and against Musk this week that those who opted for the voluntary retirement should be enough “cuts” within his department.
