Hate crime laws only cover actual crimes motivated by racism, sexism or whatever -ism

and they're completely unnecessary because the criminal can be prosecuted on what they actually did rather than what they thought.

Turning wrong thinking into a crimes is the stuff dictatorships are made of. Stalin, Hitler, Mao, etc would be jealous of where we are today.

Criminalizing thought should NEVER be done because it is far to easily abused. Leave it to actual actions taken.
