Ay more, home schooling should be the first option for less than affluent parents. Unless one is living in a tent on the sidewalk, it can be done. A little sacrifice is good for the soul and for one’s children. My daughter had no second thoughts about home schooling for her three boys. Public school did not even enter into the disussion. Any doubt or controversy was from choice of curriculum. She has not worked and son in law was working for $10.00 an hour when they started. Now he is doing a lot better but they had to get through a few very tight years. If one hears the boys talk, especially the 5 y.o. one understands that public school could have nothing useful for them.

Seems a lot less trouble and more satisfaction would come from home schooling.
