I think you are correct there. From my own, thank God, limited, experince with health care, I have no idea how it is even calculated. Our daughter, about10 tears ago, had a very brief ER admission, for which the hospital billed the insurance $5k; the insurance turned around and wrote us they had gotten the bill down to $1000 , bur we had to pay the whole thingSo what was the health care cost?$1000? $ 5000 ?
No they don’t. Go to You Tube and see what’s happening in the Uk. They’re begging Trump to come over and save them. It’s shocking to see the state of the country over there.
That’s subsistence stuff - not like the billions spent on projects the ‘elites’ have... I doubt a smidgen of more money spent on food stamps would make any difference.
Food prices went up because fuel prices went up, supply chains were breaking, the price of fertilizers for farmers went up when oil prices went up... it’s all an interconnected system.
The dribs and drabs to the poor are nothing. It’s like FEMA giving money to illegals and not to the people damaged by the hurricanes. The problem is liberal corruption. The crooks in DC spend the big money on their favorite projects and the ‘little people’ are NOT in the group.
Oh, they don’t live differently? Yeah, they’re migration thing isn’t working every well either.
The US cost of living is an average, over 50 states. Knowing that number does no one any good. Better to give a number for each state.
Indeed. I always thought of England as the land of the ‘’stiff up lip’’, ‘’their finest hour’’, pip, pip and all that.
To see the state of affairs all across the UK is shocking.
My daughter-in-laws mother is fleeing Alberta to come here.
I’ve had to listen to this woman in the past go on about her ‘’’wonderful Canadian healthcare’’ and how peaceful and happy they all were in The Great White North and basically what rubes we all were.
She’s singing a different tune now.
Some folks wake up.
https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2023/07/19/what-the-data-says-about-food-stamps-in-the-u-s/ Not talking pennies here, i suspect that big bump during the pandemic did fuel food inflation.
I would like to see the life expectancy in the USA for the non-obese
True. But sometimes one wakes up too late.
Really shocking to see what’s going on over there.
Yup. Sadly some folks fall into deeper sleep.
