“Syrians praise blows to Hezbollah.”
“Syrians celebrate attacks against Hezbollah.”
Although “blows” is still an odd word choice since it has multiple meanings.
Depends on what types of websites you visit I suppose
Cannot claim it’s mine it goes back to around 9/11 so at least 20 or more years ago. It’s an FR golden oldie but its worth repeating every now and them :)
What I, and what I think several others questioned was why Syrians are praising "blows". Is that wind gusts or is it Kamala on her knee pads? And why Syrians and not Lebanon people? I did not connect that to mean bomb strikes or pager explosions or even the reactions of the Lebanon people. It took me a while to decipher what the imprecise language meant.
You’re right. We understand what was meant. The article gives the context.
It is.
I wasn’t on FR back in 2001 so don’t recall ever seeing it before.
Many thanks.
I am reasonably intelligent and I didn’t understand this atrocious writing at first either.
But he had such a nice smile.
Lol
