LBJ had a solid alibi as to what he was doing at the time of the shooting. George H.W. Bush’s story of where he was never withstood serious scrutiny. Nixon apparently wasn’t involved.

"I believe that Oswald killed JFK. Someone may have hired him or put him up to it, but I believe he acted alone."

I used to believe that too, back when I was young and naive in 1963.

"After seeing the film the next morning of LBJ being sworn in on the plane with that Cheshire Cat grin"

LBJ was sworn in on Air Force One on Friday afternoon, November 22nd, 1963. The plane took off for Washington nine minutes later at 2:38 p.m. Central Standard Time, and arrived at Andrews Airforce Base at 5:58 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Johnson got off the plane, walked over to a lectern, and gave a short comment at approximately 6:10 p.m. From the time I got home from high school that Friday afternoon, we were glued to our TV every day until we went to bed each night. We were getting ready to sit down to Sunday dinner at noon on November 24th, when they announced they were bringing Oswald out to transfer him. We all got up, went into the living room, and stood there watching as Jack Rudy shot him, and he was hustled off in an ambulance. And of course on Monday, the TV was on all day again, watching JFK's funeral and burial at Arlington.

“It was Oswald.”

In other words, this witness, along with many others, all collectively pulled their testimony out of their asses?

John Connally and Jackie Kennedy, both in the car where Kennedy was killed, did not believe the Warren Commission report.

Were the authors you cited closer than they were?

I don’t think anyone has actually said Johnson was one of the trigger men. I believe he was in the car behind Kennedy.

Well, Kennedy was shot from behind, or so the official story goes. Bush was supposed to be one of the guys up by the train tracks.

Oswald worked at the warehouse, owned the gun, fled the scene, and killed a cop—a lot of things for conspiracy theorists to explain away.

“having Jackie-O standing next to him was icing on this cake.

Is been said that she was basically bullied to stand there at the sweating in — to provide an appearance of legitimacy to LBJ’s presidency.

“watching JFK’s funeral and burial at Arlington.”

We were at the family homestead then for Thanksgiving week, and Grandpa HATED JFK. Listening to his running commentary of all the events was hilarious. A simply farmer, but very well informed.

But Cronkite was convinced that it just had to be a “right-winger” who shot Kennedy.

Oswald was a Communist, so JFK was a victim of Communism. However, the liberal media successfully spun the story, making him a victim of right-wing extremism. When I became a conservative activist in high school during the 1968 presidential campaign, liberals called me “Lee Harvey.”

"Oswald worked at the warehouse, owned the gun, fled the scene, and killed a cop—a lot of things for conspiracy theorists to explain away."

Yes, he killed Officer J.D. Tippett prior to heading to the movie theater, where he tried to fire the same handgun, but it jammed. That doesn't mean that our government didn't have anything to do with Oswald or JFK's assassination.

The CIA has a long history of setting up coups in other countries, and assassinating people. On November 2, 1963, South Vietnamese President Ngô Đình Diệm of Vietnam and his younger brother Ngô Đình Nhu were arrested and assassinated not long after. Allegedly, South Vietnam soldiers were the ones who murdered them. The coup was supported and carried out with the help of General Tôn Thất Đính who had turned on the Ngo brothers.

Diem was a devout Catholic. His regime had been oppressing the Buddhists which created an uprising. Although JFK wanted him removed from office, from the info I've seen, he didn't want the man murdered, and found the way he had died "particularly abhorrent."

Recording of JFK regarding the coup and murders:

THE PRESIDENCY HISTORICAL MOMENTS JFK'S MEMOIR DICTATION ON THE ASSASSINATION OF DIEM

Once Diem and his brother were out of the way, U.S. involvement took off in an attempt to try to stabilize the country.

According to "History" website article for "This Day in History:

"While the United States publicly disclaimed any knowledge of or participation in the planning of the coup that overthrew Diem, it was later revealed that American officials met with the generals who organized the plot and gave them encouragement to go through with their plans. His increasingly dictatorial rule only succeeded in alienating most of the South Vietnamese people, and his brutal repression of protests led by Buddhist monks during the summer of 1963 convinced many American officials that the time had come for Diem to go."

American officials = CIA and U.S. Generals

This Day in History: November 2, 1963

There have been claims that Kennedy was planning on withdrawing U.S. troops, or at least downsize our presence in South Vietnam by the end of 1963. The "National Security Action Memorandum 263" approved by JFK on 11 October 1963, appears to say just that:

National Security Action Memorandum 263

20 days after Diem and his brother were assassinated, JFK was assassinated in Dallas. I don't believe in coincidences.

The CIA is the same Federal agency that hired known Nazi war criminals to gather intelligence during the Cold War. The fact that they hired and hid the whereabouts of Klaus Barbie "The Butcher of Lyon", and lied to France who wanted him for war crimes should be the first clue of what they were capable of conducting and covering-up.

The CIA also hired a Nazi intelligence officer Reinhard Gehlen to organize a spy group. They appointed a former WWII field officer named James H. Critchfield to watch over the organization. The man had not one day's training or experience in the intelligence service, or gathering intelligence. I think that was deliberate on the CIA's part.

Reinhard Gehlen was specifically told he couldn't hire any SS, war criminals, SA, SD or former German police officers. He did exactly what he was told he couldn't do. His network got so extended that even he had no idea who the war criminals he had recruited, were recruiting themselves. This group managed to use the money the CIA provided them, to set up their own RAT Lines, to help people like Joseph Mengele escape Europe. Some of Gehlen's war criminals went to Egypt, Syria and Lebanon, and got involved in gun-trafficking to those countries so they could destroy Israel.

And guess where Reinhard Gehlen ended up once his spy group was finally dissolved? He became President of the Federal Intelligence Service (BND) in West Berlin (West Germany). He worked there for Chancellor Konrad Adenauer until he was forced out of the BND because a Russian KGB mole named Heinz Felfe had infiltrated Gehlen's intelligence service. Felfe had been an SS intelligence officer during the war, and actually worked for Gehlen's (CIA-organized) spy group.

Not much about the CIA has changed since WWII when it was originally organized. Not one of them is trustworthy.

“I bet she wanted to barf, all over LBJ.”

I can’t imagine how she must’ve felt, standing there in her suit with her husband’s blood on it. Even without those circumstances, LBJ oozed sleaze; the evil must have been palpable.
