True. Can anyone tell me anything she has ever done except lie?
Ask Willie Brown?
Adds for those who believe in JOY
“They have no respect for the hundreds of grieving American families who have lost loved ones to the fentanyl crisis”
I have two videos I downloaded from Tik Tok of around 20 teens/young adults who died from Fentanyl poisoning. It shows them when they were alive and then it says “Bobby forever 14, Mary forever 16” meaning they died at that age. I was thinking of adding the Border Czars incessant laughing on top of that and then at the end write “An open border is no joke”
I disagree without you that layoffs at MSM corporations can be viewed as “consequences”, the simple reason being that they just do not accept your premise that falling ratings are a consequence.
They don’t view things like that as “consequences”.
They view those losses and layoffs as “the price to be paid” in their professions as both the Leftists and the official mouthpieces of the Leftists.
Look at Disney.
In Disney’s case, we can probably agree it isn’t things like outright lying and slander similar to what we see in the media.
If Disney viewed their mistakes in programming, production, and advocacy as consequences, they would have relented long ago and stopped doing those things. But they don’t.
Which is why they continue to pursue the courses they have, in the face of what any other corporation would have eventually accepted as a punishment.

And by the way, I what I took main issue with in your post was the part of it characterizing me as somehow basking in “futility” apparently as some kind of psychological protective measure. I didn’t appreciate that and felt it was uncalled for, especially since I didn’t believe we were all that far apart conceptually on some things.
I assure you that immersing myself in some kind of bizarre, protective, cocoon of “futility” isn’t the case.
I am observing a reality based on decades of experience and is not something I arrived at due to the heat of a current campaign.
If you disagree, that is your business, and I can have civil discourse on the basis of that, as I have done with other people on this forum. It is what I am here for.
Saying that I am caving in to “despair” and painting it as a coping mechanism is insulting to me, especially since you don’t know me, you don’t know what I am doing when I am not on Free Republic, or those things I am involved with. I can assure you it is more than 95% of the types of people on this forum that I would characterize as “Keyboard Warriors”. I personally don’t think it is enough for me to do, but it is something and is not nothing.
I am trying to participate in something I fundamentally dislike, politics, and doing so with my already short personal time. I have been elected to an office, serve on committees, write correspondence to elected officials, and I take part in active public demonstrations and have been doing so for the past 20 or more years.
If I were somehow bathing in “futility”, I would NOT be willing or able to do those things. I did them as a response to the kinds of things I observed in my original post, not in a vacuum or in a knee-jerk response to the things I currently see emanating from both government and the media.
I am as guilty as anyone on this forum for posting in anger and in knee-jerk fashion to some real or perceived issue laid out by politicians and/or media. But that is the nature of discourse, and it is also the nature of discourse to actually have civil discourse and not settle into common insults or ad hominem attacks which are usually based in disrespect.
If you read something in my post that you perceived as disrespectful, that was not my intention.
And you have quotes to that effect, right? I think you're getting into the realm of projection here. Disney has been going down the moral tubes for 40 years.
And by the way, I what I took main issue with in your post was the part of it characterizing me as somehow basking in “futility” apparently as some kind of psychological protective measure. I didn’t appreciate that and felt it was uncalled for, especially since I didn’t believe we were all that far apart conceptually on some things.
I don't doubt it, but I do think your energies are misdirected and did not expect you to appreciate the suggestion, which was apparently lost on you. It certainly wasn't an attack.
The devil is the Father of Lies and the Democrats are his children. They’ve learned well from their daddy.
By gum, she made sure that those wetbacks got processed and released!
Yes.
I subscribe fully to that. Because, like the Communists they emulate, they wish to replace God with Man.
Whittaker Chambers said in his seminal book:
“It [Communism] is not new. It is, in fact, man's second oldest faith. Its promise was whispered in the first days of the Creation under the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil: "Ye shall be as gods." It is the great alternative faith of mankind. Like all great faiths, its force derives from a simple vision. Other ages have had great visions. They have always been different versions of the same vision: the vision of God and man's relationship to God. The Communist vision is the vision of Man without God.
It is the vision of man's mind displacing God as the creative intelligence of the world. It is the vision of man's liberated mind, by the sole force of its rational intelligence, redirecting man's destiny and reorganizing man's life and the world. It is the vision of man, once more the central figure of the Creation, not because God made man in his image, but because man's mind makes him the most intelligent of the animals. Copernicus and his successors displaced man as the central fact of the universe by proving that the earth was not the central star of the universe. Communism restores man to his sovereignty by the simple method of denying God.”
But some people on this forum are unwilling to recognize that dynamic. Those people think that opinion I voiced is untrue, and that I feel that way is somehow immersing themselves in futility because it is easier to live with myself in some way.
I think people like that are at best naive and misguided. And that is at best.
