Annnnd now one small explosive by just one person can shut down an entire major artery for days or weeks... a crew of 6-10 terrorists can shut down an entire city pretty easily. Heck, even a small handful of the Stop The Oil grannies can shut it all down by gluing themselves to just a few locations of rail.

Hmmm. I don’t know. Might be one big go around?

Won’t the magnet levitating a car dissipate it’s magnetism?
No.

That was my thought too.
But the street is the track.
Maybe it’s analogous to only being able to drive on paved roads.

If the current doesn’t dissipate can you use it to run some machinery forever?

Also no. A stable magnetic field cannot do work.

This article is so void of needed details that is sounds like national enquirer material. What actually propels the vehicle in a given direction? How would it climb a 45 degree inclination? Obviously there is energy involved. Other wise you work it into a proprietorial motion machine and solve all of the worlds energy problems. It is just a silly article.

The government needs to send me millions so I can finally get my levitating car that works on monopole magnets powered by AC batteries.
And throw in a flux capacitor for good measure.

Nope..... stated correctly. Propulsion is initiated by a large consumption of beans the night before... give or take. Just aim in the opposite direction you wanna go and BOOM... you’re off.

All you need is a government ‘grant.’ And anything is possible.
