My Uber-lib sister said yesterday that she’s taking bets on whether or not the debate even goes on. Of course, she is blaming Trump, saying that he is gonna be the one to bow out after asking Biden to take a drug test. And if he refuses, there is his out.
TRUMP: “Joe, you’re looking particularly energized this evening. Those enlarged pupils look good on you.”
“If it took 16 people one whole week to prep you for one hour of debate, how long will it take to prep you for that 3am phone call?”
Trump just needs to get Joe spun up a little and back on his heels. It cannot be a total meltdown or the dem powers-that-be will have too much time to replace Biden.
There are already the numerous states’ deadlines for candidates to declare for the presidency as well as DNC party rules for delegates at the convention. After the convention is another set of unpopular decisions. Take away options.
