Did she happen to mention whether women know how to use computers better than the black people she said didn’t know what they are?
I work for NY State in a maintenance position. I will tell you that this has been going on for years. We are required to buy from minority and woman owned businesses. White guys need not apply.
So how it works is: big companies make spin offs that they have “owned” by a minority. Then they funnel the purchases through the spin off. At a 20% or more increase in price.
The other scam is a woman or minority sets up a business to supply materials, services, or other supplies. That business is nothing but a letterhead and a phone. They get awarded the business, and then they in turn hire the white owned business to provide the materials or service. The minority of course gets their 20% or more for simply acting as a middle man.
The whole thing is a giant scam, and in any other state the people responsible would go to jail.
To give you an example: we wanted a parking lot repaved. Local white owned business bid the job for somewhere around 55,000 dollars. We were forced to use an “Approved Vendor” at well over 100,000 Dollars.
It’s no wonder NY State is broke.
I flew into JFK one time on my way back from Frankfurt. I thought the pilot had made a mistake and landed in Zimbabwe.
Never again, just like O’Hare and LAX.
There are many, many, many construction enterprises where the wife of the principal is put in charge in order to qualify for these things. At this level, the game may be considerably more sophisticated, but a game it is.
Compare to all of those big Indian casinos that somehow have a LOT of influence from folks whose skin is not exactly red, but have had historical ties to the gaming industry.
What could possibly go wrong?
