“If it’s Boeing....I AIN’T going!”
This was funny the first time.
Cute the second time.

In all honesty, for some very technical reasons, it’s partly Boeing’s fault, and partly United’s fault, and partly stupid passenger’s fault.

What does inflight turbulence have to do with Boeing?

That’s comical, isn’t it?!
:)
Boeing: outta the frying pan, into the fire.
Hey but Stephanie has a REAL resume behind her: got a BA in Accounting at Southwestern Missouri State. Famous school for aviation geniuses.
And Howie was probly the onlyiest guy who looked like himself in pretty much every group he was ever in. So of course they had to put him in charge! He’d feel bad if they didn’t!
Comment: short Boeing stock.

The main runways at EWR run almost north-south. (I used to fly out of there monthly.) If the wind is not compatible with runway orientation, there is no alternative, it’s a crosswind landing or go elsewhere. Of all the places I fly, EWR has the most consistent gusty crosswind conditions I've seen. Kennedy has the nice 13/31 parallels, I don't think EWR had the space to put good runways so they were forced to have 04/22 parallels - not ideal
People must have gotten banged up pretty good to divert to Stewart. It only saves 10 -15 minutes over EWR. Just glad it wasn't me.

Clear air turbulence is hard to predict.
To: metmom
I'll fix it for you.
It’s not the plane’s fault although the air traffic controllers pilots should have known about the weather conditions.

Apparently Boeing is to blame for winds now.

It’s not the plane’s fault although the air traffic controllers should have known about the weather conditions. On a related note, from March 20th: FAA relocating control of Newark, NJ, airspace to reduce congestion.

Comment: short Boeing stock. ...and maybe check the manufacturer of the plane you're about to board...

In rough weather it became more of a carrier landing than anything else.
