So far . . . There are other staunch Tea Party candidates turned politicians eventually turned RINO in office. It can happen, especially IF the swamp finds a way to get them in a vulnerable spot by hook or by crook -— and the left is always looking for that way. Occasionally good, honest, solid people decide they have had enough and just choose to leave -— it does happen. But IF it happens after they have made lots of money in DC, or have started voting against the constituents that voted them into office, or have rumors swirling about other things -— well, that happens too, and all too often.
No doubt it’s always a possibility. Money & the perks of elitism are certainly temptations. Having said that, it should not be an assumption on anyone’s part. We need to stop, as a conservative movement, behaving like leftist Demoncrats & convicting people of a crime based on an assumption. People are innocent until proven guilty. Speculation isn’t proof. When we behave like them, we sow seeds of resentment in our own community. Its hard watching decent conservatives turn into bomb throwers. Instead of holding true to the things that made us who we are- faith in God, traditional values, less immigration, one culture, limited government, free markets & defenders of a constitutional republic- too many of us have now adopted an us v/s them tribalism where everything is viewed with suspiciousness & accusations of disloyalty. None of that produces anything good. It breeds resentment amongst our own. The guy that disagrees with us 10% of the time is not the same as the guy that disagrees with us 100% of the time. We are sabotaging ourselves & for what? Ego? Being able to thump ourselves on the chest as defenders of purity. So great, you get to put yourself on a pedestal, but in the process you’ve burned bridges, fostered resentment & ensured that your own team will waste its time fighting amongst themselves while our real enemies destroy the nation.
Theres part of me that thinks this works out too perfectly not to have been researched & planned by the left. My guess is that they are distracting us, exploiting our weak spots, nurturing warfare on our side & rigging the game while we are distracted. It’s kind of sad watching them do it & seeing good people become willing idiots & destroying themselves in real time. I know folks like you think you’ve become enlightened. You haven’t. You are being played for fools. As somebody on your side, it’s painful to watch. We are defeating ourselves! 😢
He seems like one of the good guys. He’s also a Dr. and may want to go back to practicing medicine.
