About 30 years late> I stopped rooting for the Dodgers, but I always liked Garvey, even though Reggie Smith was the better hitter.

But-but it’s Kalifornia.

In a normal world, it would be a slam dunk.

But California is now Mexico.

And the Cheat Machine here is in overdrive. We lost seven seats in SoCal in 2018 and it was all in the overtime after election day.

Garvey may get close, but they won’t let something that big go.

Yep. It’s either him or that congenital liar, Adam Shitface.

There’s no getting elected for republicans what with all the vote riggers and count cheaters here. We’re one of the very worst states in the nation at it.

Who are these fossils that think 75 is a good time to start running for Senator?

God help us from these egomaniacs

Steve Garvey would have had a chance in the 1990s. California is too far gone now.

In a normal world, it would be a slam dunk. But California is now Mexico.

But Mexicans are big into voting for celebrities, especially one's with local icon status like Garvey (even if they weren't old enough to see him play). I can imagine my liberal Mexican cousins, most of whom live in San Diego and LA where he played being torn and at least seriously considering voting for someone like Garvey.

Steve Garvey is too old. He's 75.

Even Michael Jordan would lose in California if he ran as a Republican. He's now 60. He won his championships 25 years ago. You have a generation of voters who've never seen him on television.

So it doesn't matter if there's fraud or not.

Joe Garagiola once said of Garvey he had arms right off a box of Arm & Hammer baking soda.

“”Schiff and Lee combined have more than 50 years in Congress””

Not quite but certainly too many for both of them...and the rest of the country!! I don’t think any of them take note of the irony saying, “I’ve been here for 30 years and .........” without any shame at all.

TERM LIMITS IS THE ANSWER!

Even Michael Jordan would lose in California if he ran as a Republican.

Michael Jordan was mostly a Chicago Bull, so California wouldn't have much use for him. But to your point, Lynne Swann was Hall of Fame superstar for the Pittsburgh Steelers during their glory years as the Steel Curtain, and that got him little.

no, not term limits, we just need people (US Citizens) to do their job and grow up people or find good people to run , then in a few years/terms find another one that’s good.

DO OUR JOBS AS CITIZENS

term limits would ruin the chance of a decent person being in office a few extra years when need be.
