The Democratic Partly play book is to buy voters. Always has been and always will. They will throw other peoples money at voting blocks. Problem with young voters? Forgive student loans. Problem with black voters? Talk about reparations. Problem with Latino voters? Give illegal aliens who are not citizens the right to vote or at least the ability to illegally vote.

There was an old Cajun politician in St. Landry Parish who didn’t mince words about buying votes. One day he stopped by to introduce himself to me. I had bought a farm that once belonged to his grandfather, so he wanted to let me know he could get things done. He told me that if I wanted to get elected to a political office, he could make it happen...starting with getting elected to the police jury, votes would cost me $5 and a pint of Jack Daniels for each vote...prices went up from there for offices such as state legislators, etc. He owned a bar, where you could get call girls for the voters, a liquor store for the alcohol and a grocery store to buy food bribes.

This shift in black voter sentiment is not surprising, given that many African Americans are becoming increasingly disillusioned with the Democratic Party. It appears many are fed up with nothing more than empty promises in exchange for their loyalty. Even though Democrats have positioned themselves as the party that actually cares about black people and other minorities, the lack of tangible results has pushed much of the black electorate away.
